Hi All - Just firstly wanted to say what a great servie Yola provides. I have only been working on my site for a few months but think it is great!

My question is does anyone know how to offer customers a choice of delivery options (ist, 2nd registered etc and therefore prices) in an online store. Do I need a more advanced Paypal account?

Also i want to offer the option for a different delivery address to the payment address - any ideas?

Many thanks

Martin

Hello,
I'm sorry you are feeling frustrated and would like to help.

Unfortunately different shipping methods/prices is not currently a feature of the Online Store Widget. You would need to add the cost of shipping to the price in the description field or include it in the total cost of your product. We are hoping to add more functionality (like this one) to the PayPal widgets in the near future.

An alternative is to create your buttons and customize the shipping rates on PayPal.com. For information on how to add shipping to your products, please view PayPal's Website Payments Standard Integration Guide PDF (5.8mb PDF). Once you've customized your settings on PayPal, you can copy the HTML embed code provided and add it to your site using the HTML widget.

You can also set the set the delivery address in PayPal as well, here is a link to one of their Help pages with more information on this: PayPal Help.

Once you have your buttons created you can add them to your site using an HTML widget.

I hope this helps!

What Emmy suggests is a little more work on your part but I think well worth the effort.Aside from offering more options to your customers it opens up many possibilities of how you can present your product to your customer on your pages....Don't get me wrong the online store widget is great but many of us reach a point of progressing past the capabilities the widget has to offer.I do still use it to set up special buys etc for my customers....A very handy tool.
