Is there a way to try (for free) the new online store feature for a short period of time? I am interested in the service, however, I would like to make sure it meets the requirements I need before paying for the service. I'm a current Yola Silver Customer.

Hi Laura,

Thanks for your prompt response. I actually need to have the option of CASH ON DELIVERY as a method of payment, so that is one of the main requirements that I have and many sites do not provide. Another question is if the store can be integrated with Facebook.

Thanks for your help.

Great news, our Online Store does provide both of those features!

Here's how to accept a C.O.D:

In your Yola Online Store, go to the Payment page.
Select one of the Payment Method that you are NOT going to use.
Hover over the Payment name and click on this to edit the name.
Enter "Collect on Delivery" or "C.O.D." for the first line. A second line is available if you need to add a note.
Once you've entered your new name, click on "Apply".
In the second column, click on "Change".
On the drop-down menu, select "Offline basic" and then click "Apply".
In the 3rd column, click on "Enable".

If you plan to have the C.O.D. for non-local deliveries, you will need to contact the shipping company about this. For example, UPS provides this and will collect a cashier's check or money order. For more information about this, visit this page: Collect on Delivery (C.O.D.).

Here's how to set it up the integration with your online store and your Facebook page:

Visit apps.facebook.com/ecwid-shop.
Click "Add store to your page".
In the Facebook application pop-up, select the page you'd like to use for your store.
Enter your store ID (found at the bottom of the Yola Online Store Control Panel page) in the field provided.
Your store is now added to your Facebook page!
A products tab will appear in the left-hand menu and your products can be purchased directly from your Facebook page.

Good catch there Laura...Not everyone knows that most shipping services no longer accept cash.I keep seeing a lot asked about shipping here and using the shipping calculator. I strongly advise everyone to know your product and read up concerning shipping on sites like ups.com and fedex.com . . .It is just a matter of time before you see someone on this forum not understanding why they were charged extra shipping costs when they had the exact weight of their product entered in the shipping information.
