Online store questions

When you take the option for the online store which costs $19.95 month, how much are you charged per transaction? What percentage is taken off by Yola and is it all done through Paypal? Are there any limits per transaction amount and how many transactions you can do per month? There is not much detail on the website about these things.

Hello David,

There are no extra costs other than those taken by the payment gateway. eg PayPal. There are no limits on the transaction amounts and there are no limits on the number of transactions per month.

The Catalog by default can contain 1000 items but this can be extended by communication with Yola if required.

Hi Gop

Many thanks for your informed response! Just want to clarify one further thing. When you sign up for the online store option, do you get to choose which payment gateway you want to use, when your selling products online. Is it an easy thing to setup or do you have to do everything manually?

The payment setup is an initial input and can either be selected from a list of options or enter another which isn't on the list.

The setup can include things like your payment gateway ID or API. It's not a hard task at all. There are few enquiries on this setup procedure so it seems to be easy for users to do.

If you were setting up an unusual provider that didn't have a hardwired option then it does require a lot more input and I wouldn't presume that would be intuitive. At the same time there is a lot of support on these issues by Ecwid and their community
