Hey guys its me again. I wanted to ask if I can ban someone from using my website? I already know his IP because of the Cbox i have on it but I can't find the option to ban him. Is there a way? If not by synthasite is there a way with html? If so can someone please explain? ( my website is heroonline.synthasite.com ) Thanks a bunch and loving synthasite! Best website building experience ever.

Thanks for the great feedback. We are glad that you are enjoying your SynthaSite website building experience.

We don't have a feature that allows you to block people from visiting your site, unless you password protect your site or page. However, I gather that the person you wish to ban is making a nuisance of themselves in your chatbox? If so, you can use Cbox's ban function to ban them. Here is a link to their support forum that tells you how to do this: http://www.cbox.ws/help.php?srch=ban+...+

I hope that works for you. Good luck getting rid of the person who is annoying you on your site.

Thanks for your fast reply monique. I have done that but now I want to take it a step further! I want to ban this guy so he can never use the guides on my website again. ( quest guides for a game ). I think i found something long ago. It was like a html code were you put it on all of your pages and it denys the ip from looking at them.

I am not familiar with code that will allow you to do this with SynthaSite, but I can ask around and get back to you. Also, perhaps someone else in this forum has an idea.

It is very very hard to ban someone if they know what they are doing....Many will use proxy servers to hide their true IP . Most IPs are dynamic not static.Consider weeding out undesirables as part of the business and a constant battle.
