Option to have links open in a separate tab/window without using HTML code

When in the site builder and you make a link, in the box where you enter the URL (or use one of your site's pages), there should be an option to make the link open in a new tab or new window. Business 101 says that when you have someone on your site, you don't want them to leave. If I link to, say, an article or other relevant info. on another site, I don't want my customer/viewer to be removed from my website but rather have the other site open in a new tab/window. As it is, Yola doesn't code any of their links to open in a new tab/window, but that should be an option for site designers and by adding a check box option in the site builder's links creation window, this would let each webmaster create their pages as they see fit. As it stands now, the only way to accomplish getting a link to open in a new tab/window is to use HTML code which can really slow down the process for those that aren't experienced enough to use HTML coding.

Thanks for the support, Nathan :) It's been almost a decade since I designed a website and much of the HTML coding has changed and I had to review how to code so I could get links to open in a new tab/window and even had to contact support to get info. on how to implement it in the sitebuilder. I made a suggestion to the employee at that time about adding a check-box option. I've seen many free and also pay sitebuilder programs and almost all of them have this option available.

Hello

Thank you for sharing this idea. This is not a feature that we have currently on our roadmap. This may be considered further down the road.

Thanks Sanja for letting us know. It says on this topic that it is under consideration, will it ever be implemented though? I am hoping it will so we don't have to keep getting into the HTML, I am fine with getting into the HTML because I am experienced with that, but others that are new or don't know HTML, it is harder for them. But thanks for letting us know! :)

Thanks!
