Orange box around pictures inserted in a text widget.

Hi,

I have pictures inserted in to a text widget.

But I can no longer edit them - resize, add hyperlinks etc.

When I click on them there is just a pale organe box around them, no resizing handles.

Text editing works fine.

I'm using chrome.

However, on another computer, also using Chrome, everything works fine.

Hi Robert

Unfortunately I wasn't able to find any Yola account under the e-mail address you use for our Support Forum.

Are you perhaps using different versions of Chrome on these two computers? Yola only supports the most recent version of Google Chrome.

Sorry Stefan, I use my hotmail for Yola.
My site is : http://lcpolitics.yolasite.com/as-not...

Unfortunately it is not the Chrome version, I have just downloaded the latest Chrome to my home PC and the same problem occurs. This also rules out something within the computer too.

I've attached a pic to show the issue.
Pictures inserted into a picture widget are fine, but as I wanted multiple pics in one widget, I used a text widget.

Everything works fine on firefox, so it may be a chrome specific issue.

Thanks for a speedy response, great service!
Rob

Hi Robert,

I checked your published site with Chrome (Version 25.0.1364.97 m) and the orange corners are not appearing. They look like the markers for the internal spacing of images and maybe just a guide for image layout (?)

Are the issues of linking and resizing persisting?

Hi,

The orange box does not appear while viewing the site, only while editing.
It appears instead of the usual grab handles for resizing etc.

My chrome version is: Version 25.0.1364.97 m

In this screen shot you can see the orange box in google chrome on the left and then how it should look in firefox on the right.

thanks for looking, Rob

Just updates to Version 25.0.1364.152 m

Problem persists.

I created a new test page, dragged on a new text widget, inserted a new picture : same orange box, no resizing handles. :(

Hello Robert

This has been a problem with Chrome. Can I convince you to use the Picture Widget instead? Adding pictures to the Text Widget is rather useful if you want that special line break of text around a picture.

Otherwise I'd always recommend to use the Picture Widget. You can arrange your pictures the way I can see in your screenshots if you use the Column Divider Widget and the margin values. You can add multiple Column Divider Widgets into each other. Don't let the Sitebuilder view deceive you – it may look squeezed, but Preview will show you what it really looks like on your website. The Picture Widget will give you the manual resizing option in Chrome again.

Thanks, I will give the pic widgets and dividers a try.
