Organizing data with widgets

At the moment, this is how I am organizing my radio shows. Is there a better way of doing this?

It would be great if there is a way to duplicate widgets so that you don't have to redefine the wheel so to speak. :)

How do I delete the Index page? Home keeps showing up when I try to move the page off the main menu.

Click on "edit menu" and drag the page out of the menu.
You will need to do this for all future pages.

Next, you need to copy your Snap code into a HTML widget at the very top of your page. It should look something like this

<script type="text/javascript" src="http://shots.snap.com/ss/8438ed.........;

P.S. I deliberately put a space between the "h" and the "ttp" as in "http" so that GS does not abbreviate the URL. (You need to remove it)

Drag in a text widget below the two HTML ones and hit enter about 10 or 20 times to move the Yola link down the page.

Great! Just as a point of interest. I would like to keep my site iPhone friendly so that people who have iphones or other such devices can access my web site properly. I know that the iPhone is not Flash friendly. Aside from this. So far so good Boomer. :)

Ok... Back to your main site. Create a test page and copy the following into the first HTML widget.

<div style="width:463px;height:20px;font-family: verdana;font-weight:bold;text-transform: capitalize;text-align:left;padding:10px;background-color:#FFFFFF;border:solid 1px #004D65;">
<table>
<tr>

<td>
<font size="2" face="Verdana" color="#000000">Your Heading - If You Want</font>
</td>

<td>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</td>
<td>

<form name="jumpy">
<select name="example" onChange="gone()">
<!-- Change the URLS below to your new iframe pages that you will create-->
<option selected>Select a year</option>
<option>---------------</option>
<option value="h ttp://wreaths123.yolasite.com/">Your new iframe</option>
<option value="h ttp://hindsite.synthasite.com/frame-randy-test1.php">My Example 1</option>
<option value="h ttp://hindsite.synthasite.com/frame-randy-test2.php">My Example 2</option>
</select>
</form>
</tr>

This is about the 5th time I've lost my internet connection tonight.
Dunno whats going on? I just rebooted and will try again - here goes...
Last step: Paste this into the next HTML widget.

<div style="margin:0px;width:463px;height:521px;border:solid 1px #004D65;background:#FFFFFF;padding:10px;">

<script language="javascript">
<!--

//Drop-down Document Viewer- © Dynamic Drive (www.dynamicdrive.com)
//For full source code, 100's more DHTML scripts, and TOS,
//visit http://www.dynamicdrive.com

//Specify display mode (0 or 1)
//0 causes document to be displayed in an inline frame, while 1 in a new browser window
var displaymode=0
//if displaymode=0, configure inline frame attributes (ie: dimensions, intial document shown

var iframecode='<iframe id="external" src="http://wreaths123.yolasite.com/&quot; width="463px" height="521px" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" hspace="0" vspace="0" frameborder="0" scrolling="no"><\/iframe>'

/////NO NEED TO EDIT BELOW HERE////////////

if (displaymode==0)
document.write(iframecode)

function gone(){
var selectedurl=document.jumpy.example.options[document.jumpy.example.selectedIndex].value
if (document.getElementById&&displaymode==0)
document.getElementById("external").src=selectedurl
else if (document.all&&displaymode==0)
document.all.external.src=selectedurl
else{
if (!window.win2||win2.closed)
win2=window.open(selectedurl)
//else if win2 already exists
else{
win2.location=selectedurl
win2.focus()
}
}
}
//-->
</script>

</div>

Ok Randy... for some or other reason the forum does not like the code.
I've tried the encoder and I have tried wrapping it in comment tags.
I'm going to post it on my site for you to grab. Give me a sec :-)

Ya, am I missing something? I created a page on my main site and pasted the new code into the two widgets as you described. That first site that I set up, do I have to do anything with that in relation to my main site?

I am displaying your http://wreaths123.yolasite.com/ site in my iframe as you can see, so I think that part must be fine. The problem must be with your main site.
Which template are you using? I'm going to set up a new site using the same template as you and see what happens.

By viewing the page source. It does not always tell you though. Depends on the template.

Anyway I found the problem....
The iframe part of the code needs to be on one line. Be careful not to delete anything while you are doing this. Hit enter first before starting to delete.
Hope that makes sense.

Its the part of the code that starts with var iframecode and ends with <\/iframe>'
This all needs to be on one line.

I have got to go Randy. I am going to leave you to play with it until tomorrow.
On the new site you can edit anything between the top and bottom DIV tags.
Use the "Save page as" and create new pages this way.

On your main site all you have to add is a new "<option value=" every time with the new page URL you created on the other (new site).

I'll go through more customization options with you tomorrow.

Thanks Boomer, it works now! If you go to my main site you can see that it works. I have some questions though.

1. After selecting My Main Example 1 and then selecting one of the audio links, is it possible to put some descriptive text above the sound bar so that users know what they are listening to?

2. Do I always have to have the testsite active in order for all this to work?

3. Now that I see what this can do, Can I customize it so that for example when I select My Example 1, I can have 2008 and 2009 listings next to each other because there is a lot of white space to the right of the 2009 listing.

4. I'm still not quite clear on how and what to enter for the option value= part of the code, as well as how to create the option values.
