outgoing server address settings for Yola email accounts.

We have an email through yola that we are trying to set up on outlook. We are able to get incoming mail, but have not been able to successfully set up the outgoing mail account. What are the outgoing port settings, the outgoing server address settings, and SSL settings? Is there other information we should know to assist us in this matter?
Thank you.

This does not answer the questions I posed. I know how to set up an email. I am asking for yola server specifics. Please answer my question instead of sending me to a generic post that does not give any information about the specifics I asked. This kind of non-support does not breed confidence in yola. :-(

Sorry Tina,

I misunderstood your needs. The link describes the addresses and the port options I think. The pop/imap servers are described in the link and are a combination of your email address. The SMTP is similar. Those addresses are specific to your account and not to Yolas servers, similar to those setup with gmail for example and MS Outlook to other email servers.

Don't blame Yola for my response. Obviously the information wasn't relayed clearly enough by me and I apologise. It has nothing to do with Yola's service, I'm sure that they would be a little more in depth with their own resources which I don't have access to. Yola CS people are not available at this time on here. You could call them on their phone service if needed.

Yola does not have mail SSL servers.

Actually, the information you state is provided there, is not.

You state, "The link describes the addresses and the port options I think. The pop/imap servers are described in the link and are a combination of your email address. The SMTP is similar."

Below is what the link you provided actually "describes". (You should know what the information you are providing actually states instead of stating what you "think" it describes.) I have created a

5. Provide the following information:
Type your name in the "Your Name" field. (This is the "Display Name" field in older versions.)
Type the email address given to you by your provider in the "E-mail Address" field.
From the "Account Type" dropdown, select POP3 or IMAP.
Type the address of the incoming mail server that your provider gave you in the "Incoming mail server" field.

Type the address of the outgoing mail server that your provider gave you in the "Outgoing mail server" (SMTP) field.

Type the user name given to you by your provider in the "User Name" field. (Remember, this is your full email address.)
Type the password given to you by your provider in the "Password" field.
Click the "Remember password" checkbox to select this option.

You also state, "Those addresses are specific to your account and not to Yolas servers, similar to those setup with gmail for example and MS Outlook to other email servers. "

I have an email account provided by yola and am asking about the yola email server information for the email I have purchased from them as a provider.

I am frustrated in the circles you have sent me and wrong information you have supplied. The only help you have provided is to clear up my misinformation that this site was not "Yola" support. It was my mistake to assume the link I followed on the yola site for support was actually "yola customer support". I will contact them as you suggest.

Thank you anyway.

Hi Tina,

Type the address of the incoming mail server that your provider gave you in the "Incoming mail server" field.

Type the address of the outgoing mail server that your provider gave you in the "Outgoing mail server" (SMTP) field.

So if you type or copy and paste the server addresses given to you with your subscription confirmation into the relevant pop/imap and SMTP server boxes, then this should work.

I was wrong in my statement that it's a combination of your email address in fact it's made up from your domain rather than email.

If you are experiencing a problem with setting up your outgoing mail when creating your external email account, please try switching the SMTP port setting to 587 or 8025. Some service providers block port 25 for security reasons.

This is taken from the link I gave you. No circles just a single link....linear!

Hello Tina

I absolutely understand your frustration, but please note that knowledgable users like Gop use their time to help other users voluntarily, and have done so successfully.

I'm sorry that we haven't replied to your post sooner. Yola offers to reply within 24 hours.

As I understand your original question, you are looking for certain data to fill into your MS Outlook settings, especially the information for outgoing e-mail (SMTP) because it is not working yet. You will find this information in your My Yola dashboard. Click on the Yola Mail tab in the left-hand side menu and scroll down to the bottom of the page where it says "External e-mail client set-up". There you will see the necessary information for SMTP, POP3 and IMAP servers.

Please check your MS Outlook if you entered the correct information. You will find any additional information in the tutorial that Gop posted for you above.

If you should still experience problems, please let us know, and we will be happy to assist you further.

Hi Stefan, I am trying to do this at the moment but It seems maybe the interface for yola mail has changed in the last few years. I cant find the option for setting up external mail client.
Where would that be these days?

I would like to achieve notifications on my android galaxy 2. Is this possible?

Thanks

Hello Shaun

It's true that Yola Mail interface has been changed and improved. However, the webmail interface is not relevant for setting up Yola Mail with an external e-mail client. In order to set up your Yola Mail account on your Galaxy smartphone, you need to find out from Samsung how to set up e-mail on their phones. What you may need to know from Yola are the server settings which you can still find at the same place in your My Yola area. In the grey menu bar, click on "Email" and scroll down to the end of the page where you'll find the settings of your incoming and outgoing e-mail servers. If you're asked for these settings during setting up your Yola Mail on your smartphone, enter them in your phone accordingly, and it should work.

If you experience any problems, let us know where you got stuck, and we'll try our best to assist you further.
