One of my friends is intending to have his own domain name and web site for some e-mail marketing. What are your charges for having own domain name and own web site? Also what feature will you provide to the intending applicants such as unlimited web space, unlimited bandwidth and unlimited e-mails and any other important and impressive features? Thanks. D.S. Hi Dubey

It is exciting to hear that your friend may be interested in using Yola!

If you purchase a domain with Yola, it will cost $20/year. This simply buys the name. You can also set up a email to go with your domain.

The site builder itself is free to all. There is unlimited bandwidth, storage and a max of 15mb per file upload but no limit on the number of files that can be uploaded.

Here are some useful links that you may find helpful:

We hope to see your friend on Yola soon! =)

Please let us know if you have further questions.

One gentleman has mentioned that for owning a domain name in yola it costs $20 per annum but clarification on e-mail is not provided. How many e-mails can be sent in a day? Also what are the charges for hosting? How much web space will be given? Please clarify all the important details on this web sitse. Thanks.

Hi there Dubey,

Yola offers free subdomains (yoursitenames.yolasite.com - where yoursitename is the name of your site)
Or you can buy a custom domain through us for $19.95 a year.

If you buy a domain the email can easily be set up and you can send as many emails as you would like.

Hosting is for free - the only cost is for the custom domain (if you want one)

Space is also unlimited - the only limitation is that your individual files have to be 15mb or less (you can upload as many of them as you want - they must just be 15mb or less)

If you have any further questions, please let me know.

Dear Sir,
You have mentioned that unlimited e-mails can be sent but does that mean that I can send 600 mails per minute? How many mails actually can I send in a minute or in an hour or in a day? Can I use autoresponder of any other brand to maximise the speed of sending e-mails? Will you count the undelivered e-mails also if you impose any restrictions? Is the free web hosting is limited only to send e-mails or will it allow me or my friend to do google adsence or adwords or any other e-mail marketing? Will you provide all the facilities or moderations that top 10 web hosting providers are allowing nowadays besides providing only unlimited e-mails? Will you provide complete web site if I or my friend takes the own domain name as you suggested me that web hosting is free or will you impose any restrictions in the service of web hosting? Please give me a reply so that my friend will have his own analysis and take further step according to his choice. Thanks. Dubey

Hello Dubey,

The mail facility provided by Yola as discussed above is associated with google Apps. Google Apps uses Googlemail or Gmail. Following is the data from google regarding their send rates and restrictions.

I hope this answers the first part of your questions.

Google Gmail Email Send Rate Limit & Restrictions

The following restrictions apply when sending emails from a Google Gmail account:
Gmail email send limit - no more than 500 recipients per message for the Gmail web interface, or max 100 recipients if you are using an email client software.
Gmail other SMTP limits - outgoing messages sent via Google Gmail can not exceed 10Mb per email (including attachments)
Google Mail Policy - http://www.google.com/mail/help/progr...
Google Mail SMTP restriction expiry method - the restriction is automatically removed within 24 hours after the limit was reached.

The send speed seems to be a factor associated with email client rather than a limit set by the email provider.

My response above only pertains to a domain that you won. There is no email facility available for the free sub-domain as Jeremyhas already outlined.

Will you provide complete web site if I or my friend takes the own domain name as you suggested me that web hosting is free or will you impose any restrictions in the service of web hosting?

The service of hosting and the use of the Yola builder is very comprehensive Mr Dubey. Mr Jeremy has outlined some restrictions associated with the builder. There are some restrictions on file types allowed to be uploaded.

There is no restriction on your web-site size, the number of files stored in your website storage, there are Terms of Service that you should acquaint yourself with.

All in all this service is excellent. The reliability is highly dependable. The developments are continuous and ongoing. The customer service I think is second to none and the responses are comprehensive and fast from both the staff and the users.
I think that you can have all confidence in this product and I do not hesitate in recommending it to yourself, your friend or anyone who is considering a web-hosting and building service.

Hi Dubey

Please consult our tutorial: http://www.yola.com/tutorials/creatin...

We have instructions for setting up your email with Google Apps (gmail) or Windows Live (hotmail) You can evaluate those two services and see which one best suits your needs. The answers to your questions depends on which option you select.

You are welcome to use Google Adsense or Google Adwords or any autoresponder service you wish. You would have to create these accounts yourself, but if you are successful you can integrate them with your site.

As Jeremy mentioned, there are no restrictions on our hosting service.
