Well I submitted my site to webmaster tools on March 4th. Right now for the search term
synthetic elements (which is a broad search ) I'm showing up on page 9 of the search results. I'm excited just to be indexed, now I have to get myself on that page 1.

B. Blog Ranking: Top 0.15 %
Technorati is a popular blog directory service. It measures the popularity of a given blog as compared to all other sites that have been submitted to its system.

This blog currently has a Technorati rank of 102,814, which puts it in the top 0.15% of blogs tracked by Technorati.

This is your report from webgrader!

How cool is that?

I went to the Websitegrader site and realize that the blog for (Vinny Lingham) that I have in my blog roll is being picked up by the website grader as mine. So I don't think thats a trued indication of my rank. What do you think?

Not so sure Tiggs.

The blog on my site is much less read than yours and its still top 7%. I don't really know how to clarify this other than shooting off an email to web-grader. or technorati

Do you have any analytics installed on your site?

If you don't have any analytics do yourself a favour and install this http://getclicky.com. It gets going immediately and you get a wealth of analysis out of it in real time.

Hey Peter and Tiggs,
Google Analytics is a great service! It will allow you to track not only visitors, but also their behavior.

Here's how to add Google Analytics:

1. Go to Google Analytics and sign up for a free account.
2. Type in the URL of your site.
3. Copy the verification code provided by Google.
4. Go to SynthaSite and drag and drop an HTML widget at the bottom of each page you want to track. You could place the code anywhere on your page, but always adding it in the same spot helps you keep track of where you have placed it.
5. Paste the code from Google into the dialogue box of the HTML widget on each page.
6. Republish your site.

If the code is installed correctly you will not see anything on your page, but Google will use this invisible tracking code to gather data on your site. Once you update your site, it be verified and you can log in to your Google Analytics account to find out all the information you want to know about the people who have visited your site. Please be aware that it takes 24 hours for Google Analytics to collect the first lot of data about your site.

Note:Google Analytics sometimes gives a Javascript error on drop. This is a known issue, but will not interfere with Google's ability to verify your site. If you get this error, simply navigate to another page on your site and all should be fine).

Hi Tiggs I have both installed but I rarely use Google . I much prefer Get Clicky. It's easy, it's very clear and it's dynamic whereas Google is only reviewed once daily with Clicky I can see where it's at right at the moment. The user interface is excellent and the amount of analysis on the free subscription has been more than adequate.

Hi Tiggs,

Would you consider installing Google friend Connect? It has huge weight with Google rankings, something like a weight of 2.5 times the standard.

Basically you can connect with other GFC users (see I'm into the acronyms already :) ) and their friends are likely to have a look at your site as well. It's sort of like "Blogging Amway" but there's definitely no pressure or anything untoward.

Installation instructions are published here on Synthasite for Google Friend Connect. and is well written with specific mention of variations and exceptions for Synthasite. Installation instructions for the Social bar are published in the Google Friend Connect pages. The installation has to be the easiest I have performed, but read the Synthasite instruction previously mentioned a couple of times and you won't hit a common oversight

The GFC Social Bar is unobtrusive but the panes for communication etc. that open up are large and the rest of the time it just sits there almost hidden with members, friends and comments ready to be used without being noticed. If you install it at the bottom of your page I think you will observe a preferred outcome that you have mentioned previously........Oooooohhhhh mysterious?
