Page Layout Addition Suggestion!?

Yola's page layouts include a few good ones, but one they do not include is 1 over 3 over 1.

I would like to be able to have a 1 column on top, then a 3 column in the middle, then a 1 column on bottom.

I'm thinking this should be an easy addition to yola?

If you use the two-column divider, you can achieve this, but I've always thought they should have this one as a choice too.

how can you achieve this? Yola doesn't specify how big a two column divider is from left to right.

It's IMPOSSIBLE to get three columns the same EXACT size with a two-column divider using yola. And two column dividers don't automatically add a space between columns like the layouts do. Getting the space to be the same as when you use a three column layout would also be impossible. Also, too much time consuming. So I don't consider two-column dividers a solution to create a one over three over one layout. Three columns is too hard and impossible to get the same EXACT size with column dividers.

Maybe another suggestion for yola is to create a three-column divider. Then we can place them anywhere around the page or give us the option to customize the layout of a page.

This is my Geography Gateway just getting started.

You'll notice my banner, it has a world map in it.

You'll also notice the images on the page are in the same placement as the images on the world map.

I would like to create a banner stretching from one side of the page to the other for Arctic and Antarctica instead of square images. Arctic will be on top (as it would on a world map) and Antactica would be on the bottom (as it would on a world map).

Thanks for the feedback Donald, we'll pass that suggestion on to our Product team. The use of the column divider, as diane suggested, is the best interim solution I can think of too.

yea, it's the best "current" solution although I don't care for the solution at all. Hopefully yola will come out with a better solution as i suggested above! :)

I guess I'm not picky enough! LOL I just eyeball it and if it looks okay, it's okay with me. You could use a screen ruler to measure the columns exactly. I have a pretty nice one for Mac. Here's one for PC's though I don't know how good it is. http://www.spadixbd.com/freetools/jru...
