Page template?

  • Under Consideration
I was thinking about htis when i added a feature (static links to the bottom of all of my pages of therecipebook.yolasite.com) and it took forever going to all of my pages, adding a widget and copying and pasting the links. If you were to add a page template, kind of like on Microsoft office power point slide master where you can make a template which all slides follow, and i think it would be much more convenient, as it would make all of the pages consistent and stuff. Now, everytime i make a new page, I have to firstly, go to a page that i have finished making, go back to the page i want to make, paste the links into a text widget, then make the page. Extremly inconvenient.

Hi Will,

You're right! A feature like this would be very handy. We do have a workaround for you though.

You can create a template page and then use the "Save As" function.

Here's how you do it:

1. Navigate to the page you want to copy
2. On the Yola toolbar, click on the down-arrow next to the "Save" button.
3. Choose "Save Page As"
4. The "Save Page As" dialog box will pop-up asking you to name your new page, (and give you the chance to change the page heading, and decide whether or not to include the new page in your menu).
5. Click "OK" and you're done. The newly created page will now appear up in the Page drop-down arrow of page choices, so you can go back to it again if you chose not to include it in your menu.

I hope that helps!

Hi Will - we can certainly pass this on as a feature request to our development team.
