Pages out of wack after updating

Hello,

I updated my site today after adding a small change (all I did was add two links) and now the cell spacing of my page is all out of wack.

If you go to my website, http://www.gamedemonarcade.com, you will see that the header has shifted to the top of the page on all of my pages.

I had the cell spacing fixed so that the header and buttons would sit perfectly over where the links would be so it looks like a header.

Is this a bug that can be fixed or am I doomed to have to update all 200+ pages on my site with new cell spacing values?

Thank you in advance

Hi Gamedemon
Sorry about this! I am not sure what happened when you updated your site. I see you have created your own navigation, so I am not sure why it changed!

Can you tell me how you created your cell spacing values and what they were? If you have a screenshot of what your page used to look like, that would be useful.

Hi Monique,

Sorry for the delay.

Also, when I said cell spacing, I meant "margin". Sorry

When you drop a text or divider widget into the builder, then click "Properties", you can set margin values for your site, which slightly move the widget left, right, up and/or down.

I have the margins set to -20px(left) and -60px(up). The -20px(left) allows the adsense ad (which is too long for the page) appear centered, and the -60px(up) allows the buttons to appear over where the links should be.

I don't have a screen shot of what it used to look like so I tried to make a test page with margin values that would make my page look like what it used to look like. But I couldn't do it because the website builder wouldn't let my type in margin values anymore.

It is definitely a bug because the builder is not letting me type numbers in for the margin values.

Thanks for your quick response. Please tell me if you need more information.

Do you think I should send an email to support@synthasite.com. I think it is a bug.

Does anyone else have the same problem?

I also find that most of the bugs come after upgrades.

Thanks in advance

Hi Gamedemon

I am sorry - I overlooked your response in which you explained the values you entered in the margin properties.

Unfortunately I know what the issue is here. A limitation was introduced to restrict negative values in the Properties sidebar in order to fix another problem.

I didn't realize that this is what you were using on your site. I have passed this on to our developers so that they can look for an alternative.

Unfortunately I don't think there is going to be a quick solution for this. My suggestion would be that you wait a little bit and don't update your site until I can give you more information.

Can you open your site and send me a message from the Help menu? Alternatively could you check the properties sidebar for your old pages and let me know if the negative values are still there or not.

Hi Monique,

Thanks for responding. And thank you for clearing up that there was a change in the margin rules.

Hopefully the developers can figure out a solution. If not, I can just fix the problem manually.

I'll go and send that message right now.

Also, yes, the negative values are still there, they just aren't working properly because of the margin update.

Thanks again
