Hello Nick,

I'm not quite clear on what you require. Do you wish to make all menu items appear with a white background, or simply change the text colour to make it more visible? I'll explain both.

If you want to surround all items with a white background, you can do the following: (Note: You need a Yola Silver account). Click 'Style' in the toolbar, and click 'Edit Custom CSS'. Paste the following code in the blank box and be sure that 'Disable CSS Overrides' is NOT ticked.

#menu li {
float: left;
background: #F3F3F3;

Now if you wish to change the font colour, you need to do the same as above, except rather paste this code:

#menu a {
display: block;
float: left;
height: 25px;
margin-right: 1px;
padding: 10px 20px 0 20px;
text-decoration: none;
font-size: 1.1em;
font-weight: bold;
color: #333333;

The 'color' at the bottom is the colour of your unselected items. The code above will make the text the same, darker colour as a selected/hovered item.

I hope this information was helpful! If you need further help please let me know.

Kind regards,
