despite setting a password protection (site manager, password protection) and confirming that this is "activated" (site manager), and then "publishing" it, the changes/password window still doesnt work/appear. Please help immediately! My confidential info is exposed to the public.
Hello, did you go into the site manager to set this up? You have to select the pages you want page protected. Steps:
First, login to the site builder.
Next to the "pages" drop down list, there is a tab that says "Site manager" click that.
Now, at the bottom below the page list on the site manager, click on "Site password protection" Screenshot:
When you click it, you will see this pop up:
Just use the check marks and check the pages you want protected. Make sure you also have the password details and username at the top of that dialog. Now, click "OK"
That's it! It should password protect all pages that you select! Make sure to update your website by going back in the site builder and clicking "Publish to the web" If you don't click that the changes to your site wont be on the internet yet.
