I have looked into this for you, and I can advise that the email is related to the Yola Online Store, which is supplied by our third-party partner, Ecwid.

Could you let us know when you received this email? As per Ecwid's blog (http://status.ecwid.com/), they advised the following on the 28 Jan 2013 (the second post):

PayPal having issues with IPN
The status concerns Ecwid store owners who’re using PayPal Standard as their payment method.

Jan 28, 2013, 6:15 PM (UTC):
PayPal has been reporting to having issues with Instant Payment Notifications (IPN) since Jan 27.
For the status on the problem-solving, please refer to this PayPal page:

This may impact the orders paid via PayPal Standard as follows:
The orders are successfully processed and recorded in merchant’s PayPal account, but are registered under ‘Unfinished Sales’ in the Ecwid control panel > ‘Sales’ page.

The checkout process in your stores is working, so your customers can place orders as usual and will not notice any issues.

The problem does NOT impact the other PayPal methods, such as PayPal Express Checkout, PayFlow Link, PayPal Advanced.

While PayPal is working on the problem, we can suggest the following way to work this around:

1. If you’re sure to have received the money for the unfinished orders, you can process them via your Ecwid control panel, Sales -> Unfinished Sales:
click ‘Place order’ button next to the necessary orders. The orders will be switched to status ‘Queued’ and moved to ‘Sales’. You will be able to change their status to ‘Accepted’.
NOTE: ‘Unfinished Sales’ page is available in the paid Ecwid plan.

2. Temporarily switch to use another PayPal payment method integrated in Ecwid.

Once the issue is resolved, PayPal reports to attempt to deliver IPN messages to all merchants for the received payments.

UPDATE from PayPal, Jan 28, 2013, 9:25 PM (UTC):
“We have implemented a fix and IPNs for transactions processed after Jan 28, 10:47 AM PST (Jan 28, 6:47 PM GMT) are being sent now. We are expecting IPNs for new transactions to start being delivered in near real-time within the next hour. We are also estimating that missing IPNs for transactions processed between Jan 27, 11:04 PM PST (Jan 28, 7:04 AM GMT) and Jan 28, 10:47 AM PST (Jan 28, 6:47 PM GMT) will be delivered within the next 24 hours.”
