Is it worth PAYING for advertising such as AdWords or MySpace advertising or some other source? I'd prefer an answer from someone that pays for advertising. For example, if you pay for $25 for advertising... do you believe that that one ad brings in enough visitors to eventually pay for that $25 and then some?

It isn't that simple.....You have to bid on clicks by keyword or keyword phrase....if you bid .10 a click but the big companies are bidding .50 you will not show up nearly as often....Ever notice on Adsense some clicks pay you more than others? Now you know why....I liked My Space some but even through you can target your Ads it just was not the right place for my type of product to do well..I think products like music, games and electronics will do well there.Facebook has sort of the same thing also but I think for me again not the right place for my product....Which one of your sites are you thinking about advertising?

yes... but if you look at the theory... it's true that your ad doesn't show up as much as someone paying more than you... but you are ONLY PAYING for clicks to your site and sometimes page impressions... so... if you pay for 100 clicks... then you get 100 clicks even though the other company might get 500... the point is though... is it WORTH $0.10 per click? Will a visitor to your site be a potential $0.10 earner? or will you be paying more for advertising than your site will be generating?

You are right in that 100 click is 100 clicks....But if you are lucky you get one a day.....It is all about conversion rate to know if it is worthwhile for sure...Here is an article I found that may help ...http://www.sitepoint.com/article/rati...

Heck yes! There is where we decide if a particular advertising campaign is worth it for us....I place a $10.00 a month text Ad on one site and I get over 100 visits a month from that...So I figure that one is worth it....We are small site owners and learning as we go here.....On this subject it is getting to know all the variables then learning how to read them properly....By the way I did add your site to my directory it is very very much a work in progress but still an indexed site to provide a one way link....http://leaveyourbusinesscard.com/info... .I would be happy to add your landscaping site to my main site though as it does relate....I have a Home Services links page you would be fine on.I know you are just getting that site going so don't worry about a reciprocal link....A one way link is good for you and isn't really going to hurt my ranking.

and I've promised that 80% of all store bought items go to cancer research... so IF I was to get any sales... that ain't getting me much of anything and as for donations... 50% of that is going to send someone to college IF AND WHEN I get enough to do so... 50% of nothing I believe is... nothing lol... so my main source of income right now is advertising and after 3 months only got me almost $18
