I have a question about the PayPal side of things, PayPal checkout is very very limited indeed, for example I would be selling one-off items but there seems to be no way of removing the item once it's been sold. Also adding postage is very limited. Is there any ways around these problems or will a more comprehensice e-commerce function be available

Hello AnnukkaP,

Thanks for your message. You would need to add the cost of shipping to the price in the description field or include it in the total cost of your product. We are hoping to add more functionality (like this one) to the PayPal Widgets in the near future.

An alternative is to use PayPal's buttons and customize the shipping rates on For information on how to add shipping to your products, please view PayPal's Website Payments Standard Integration Guide PDF (5.8mb PDF). Once you've customized your settings on PayPal, you can copy the HTML embed code provided and add it to your site using the HTML Widget.

As for removing a product, when someone buys something from your online store, Paypal will email you with a purchase notification. The email will be sent to the email address that is linked to your Paypal account. You can then see your customer's contact information, what it is that they have bought and that they have paid.

Once you have received this email, you can easily visit your site in the sitebuilder and remove the product that you have sold.

I do understand that is not the most ideal way to run your store, but I do hope you find it helpful for the time being. We really are hoping to expand our functionality in the future.

Kind Regards,
