PayPal Button Errors

Hi,

I want to use PayPal buttons via the html code they provide. Unfortunatley, after I set everything up and tested I am getting an error message along the lines of "PayPay couldnt process this transaction, there is a problem with the vendors site".

If I use the widget on Yola it works, but I prefer the other option. Do I need to authorize something?

Hello Chris,

Are you using the PayPal developed scripts for "Buy Now" buttons or similar?

Yes I am, add the cart with a dropdown menu to be specific.

So not "Buy now" but rather "Add to cart"? (Sorry they are different PayPal approaches and solutions).

Are you using PayPal scripts or a third party development or your own development?

Maybe you could copy & paste a typical code here.

Correct, "Add to Cart". It is a PayPal script, just copying and pasting.

OK. I'm in the loop. There isn't an additional authorisation as such. The PP scripts should have a line whereby it directs to your account as the recipient and an action whereby the customer is taken to PayPal for the payment on submission.

You do need a PayPal Business account for this to be enabled.

A code line would help if this doesn't get you there. You can mask out anything you don't want seen.

Ya, I am all set up with my business account. Tried making new buttons, but only the Yola ones seem to be working...

Chris,

Without seeing the script there's nothing I can suggest. You can call or email PayPal for support on these issues.
