PayPal Product Catalog Pictures

Hi

I am doing a site for a client of mine and I decided to do the PayPal Product Catalog. But, the thumbnails are quite small. He is selling recycled cardboard art so it's somewhat important that people can SEE the actual pictures. These pictures are small on the site. I was wondering if there was anyway to make the thumbnail larger or to create it so when a person click the thumbnail it opens a bigger picture. Trying to figure out the best way of going about this!

Thanks.

Hi
as far as i am aware i dont think you are able to make the pictures bigger on the pay pal widget as it is an external widget but yola offers the ecwid online store widget which has the features you want. (it is included in the silver subscription.)

Unfortunately the Ecwid/Yola Online Store is not an auto-inclusion with Yola Silver subscription, it's an optional addition.

It can be bundled with Yola Silver for $20 per month. It is about $10 per month on top of a Silver subscription also approx $10 per month.

Yea, I was just going to say that before I read your reply lol. Its $10 a month. I sent a support email asking if I could demo it or see front/admin samples first before I purchased it in case I don't like it.

Thanks Justin and Gop!

Justin is correct that the image size can't be customized with the PayPal widget and Gop's explanation of our packages and pricing is also accurate. Please let us know if we can assist you further with your store set up!

Hi again

Alright, I was looking for an alternative to an html gallery and I found this wondershare flash gallery thing. http://www.wondershare.com/pro/flash-.... It says I can add an html code to my website.

I did... and, its blank. Nothing is showing up. Maybe this has something to do with it being flash as well. I'm not sure. So, can I not use something like this? If I can't use these, can someone help me with something like this (that will do a html code for me with customizations) that I can use on my Yola site?

Thanks

Hi Kristi
As far as i know you must upload the flash file to a cloud service eg.dropbox, google docs and then you must edit the html code to match the url of the file as explained below (step 3):

http://www.wondershare.com/flash/html...

but if i were you i would just create a swf flash slideshow using that program.

Then you can add a swf flash widget from the multimedia section of widgets which will display the file on your site.

Hope this helps.

Hi Justin

Okay I tried it with Google docs and .. fail. lol. Anyway, I did create a SWF file using the program, but I have no idea how to put it on the Yola site. I tried using the SWF widget under the Media tab on Yola and like I said above, its just a white blank with nothing. I don't know if I am doing something wrong or if it takes time to show up or what.

okay
could you post the address of the page that the flash content is on
(it might not show in site builder and may take time to publish.)

also if you go to flashvortex.com could you make a flash file there and upload a free test flash file to the page that you sent me the address for
(this is to check if it is the program you are using to make the flash file that is causing the problem)

then publish your site again
i will check it to try and see where the problem lies.
Let me know the outcome and i can try and help find a solution

Thanks

Hello Kristi,

Flash systems are really quite limited for e-com sites because of the fact that many mobile systems including phones and tablets, can't access flash files and displays. hese are now becoming the more popular ways of accessing e-com sites.

If you have less than 100 items then you can use the online store for free for life.. You can install it directly from the http://ecwid.com site. It is identical to the Yola store and in fact has a few more options hidden within.
