PDF files with avatars?

I'm trying to have a list of pdf files on a page. I used the file widget easily... but I would like to make it so that people can click on little avatars corresponding to the files. That would look a lot nicer.

Is this possible? How would I do it?

I have a yola bronze account.

Hi Rivkah,

This in outline is linking a file to an image. The tutorial here will help you with setting it up. Unfortunately the option of opening your pdf in a new tab or page isn't working at this time and it's one of the highly recommended methods for pdf files specifically. To do this at this time you would need to use some pure HTML. if you wish to go this way let us know on the forum.

Yes, I would like to go with the HTML if that's how it needs to be done... please tell me step by step so any dummy can do it, though :-)

Thank you!

You need to know the location and file names of both your pdf file and the image that you wish to link the pdf to.
Generically the code is:
<a href="resources/name_of_file.pdf" target="_blank"><img src="resources/image_name.ext"></a>

So for example if your pdf file had the file name of how-to-save-money.pdf and the image you wanted to use as the link was called cash.jpg and both of these were stored in your File Manager at the base level i.e., not stored in sub-folders, then specifically the code would be and you would drag an HTML widget from your sidebar in your builder. Type this code into the widget (for this example):

<a href="resources/how-to-save-money.pdf" target="_blank"><img src="resources/cash.jpg"></a>
