Thanks ED ...Had a Champ Badge and really needed to bow out of it but still help when I can.

Yeah the trick is quality when you convert pdf to image .... Even when I use Gimp to convert I can find a little bit of quality loss

Glad that it is a little better for you... Hang in there man.

This poor economy and my crappy health has just about sucked everything out of me. Probably a few more weeks (I may try to wait until after the new year) and I will be bugging out to the land of brrrrr snow and brrrrr long trails to do some dispersed camping until the economy gets better. I have dehydrated food stores to last a year, gore tex cold weather gear and a -10 degree sleeping bag and bivy cover. All I need left to get are some creature comfort items, camping tools, a literal case of prescription meds and a 4 season tent to last me through the winter in the Pacific Northwest.

I just hope that when this groundhog pops his head out of the so called hole that the economy is good enough to get one of my inventions licensed and produced. I tried to outlast the recession but certain things came up that make me staying where I am an impossibility.

Maybe I will build a small cabin/igloo in the woods somewhere and hibernate like a bear... LOL That snow is gonna be cool for the first few days/weeks and enough to drive me crazy after that. Life huh... One day you are the bear and the next you are being eaten by the bear. LOL

I will miss the internet though. ;)

Before you use your PDF image you would need to convert it to an image file (GIF, PNG or JPG)

I can't promise the quality will be all that great but you can give the following free online PDF to JPG converter a try... http://www.zamzar.com/

I have been using Zamzar for years and years for a good percentage of my video, audio and image conversion needs.

Just follow the easy steps and on step 2 select PNG to get the best image resolution and quality.

1) Goto http://www.zamzar.com/ to the "Convert files tab"

2) Follow the 4 steps they list:
1) Locate on your computer the PDF file that you wish to convert.
2) Select from the drop down list JPG. (PNGs are usually far superior quality upon conversion compared to all the other options BUT in this case JPG produces larger resolution results which will result in a clearer image to upload as your Banner)
3) Enter your email address.
4) Click the "Convert" button

3) Wait a few minutes until you get the email with the link to your image then click the link in the email directly after "Alternatively click on the following link to download a copy of your converted file:"

4) On the linked to page click the little "Download now" button next to your image file name.

5) Locate the folder in your computer that contains the downloaded ZIP file.

6) Right click and extract the files.

7) Open the created folder and open your new JPG image to edit in your favorite image editor or upload directly to your file manager to place as your banner.

If you do not have a program to unzip/extract a ZIP file as in step 6 above Cnet offers a free program for download here: http://download.cnet.com/WinRAR-32-bi...

Happy site building
Ed
