Hi Daniel,

Common causes of this are incomplete pathways or incorrect pathway in the address of the image. This can occur if you have manually placed your image on your page using straight HTML rather than the Picture widget. It can also occur if you move your images around within the File Manager. These causes are associated with a missing image notification.

Sometimes the Sitebuilder just doesn't pull up the images in time and the solution for this is to wait a while and re-check.

Finally if you have made some changes to your site and published waited a few minutes and the images don't appear then it is possibly a browser cache issue and it's always a good practice to clear your browser cache if your are "missing" information on your published site

Hi Daniel,

Please delete the 4 that don't show plus the originals from the file manager. These 4 show as copies and I can only think that this is causing the problem.

After you delete them please add them again once only. Try renaming them also to a simple name rather than using the system names. Make sure that each image is only about 30 Kb in file size. You can do this by using an online image optimiser or if you have it with photoshop and "save for web". I wouldn't use the resident picnik as it gives poor quality images but if you go directly to picnik.com then the quality is excellent. Otherwise this uses too much resource and takes too long to show. This should be the same for every other image as well in your product catalogue. Speed of display is the essence for good SEO

Hi Daniel,

I have had a look at your images that aren't showing and as I mentioned they are all copies with a file name xxxxx(copy).jpg.

The problem is with the ( and ) as these become part of the filename and are invalid filename components for Yola image names. You can only use alphabet characters and numbers plus a few others like - and _. Others may cause this kind of problem.

Your solution is to rename your images.
Go into your File Manager and locate an image. Right click your mouse on that image and scroll down to Rename. Make the change and click Rename button.
Repeat this for the other images.

I also mentioned the size of your images: They are very large around 500 Kbytes per image and you can use an image of about 10 to 30 Kb and see no appreciable drop in image quality displayed. This will improve your loading speeds dramatically.

Hello Robins Otieno

Can you please specify what mean by not being able to upload your website?
  1. Are you unable to publish your website?
  2. Have you published your site before, but now it's not online any more?
  3. Can't you open your website in the Sitebuilder?
  4. What's the URL (website address, domain name) of your website?
Please provide us with as much detail as you can, so we know in what direction we need to investigate. Thanks.
