Hi Philip,

Ellen's photography site is looking great! I tested both the mobile and non-mobile versions of the website and the Picasa slideshow did not display on either.

I did some digging and see that it's a known issue that Picasa slideshows are not mobile friendly. I found this blog post that offers a mobile friendly solution. You might want to give that a try. Please let us know how it works out for you!

Hi Laura, Thanks for the research!

It helps a little but doesn't sole the problem:

Results when Mobile Publishing Enabled
If I follow this and "Enable Mobile Publishing" then I no longer get the failed to load image on the mobile view which is better.

The slide sow now does not show at all. This is better because at least the mobile visitor doesn't get a block of screen with a fail message, they just get the rest of the content. However, they do miss a key / fundamental part of the website! which is fairly important.

Now at the bottom of the screen is the link to "View Full Site". If I select that I do see the slideshow but most visitors (and potential customers!!) would not do that.

The slide show works ( Yes!) but the site isn't optimised / resonive totally. On my phone ( a Samsung Galaxy 3) the site is shrunk to fit the mobile which I actually like as it Keeps the original layout rather than move widgets around and loss of formatting etc. However, i would appreciate other peoples views as previously when I have done this on mobiles the mobile screen is like a small window on a larger image if that makes sense? You have to scroll around to see the whole screen.

I would happily leave it in this state if other people also get the normal PC screen version shrunk to the mobile scree.

Bear in mind it is under construction!

This doesn't solve the whole problem so it would be good to get a solution from Yola. Yola is my preferred website solution for clients but media sharing seems to be a weakness!

Hello Philip

I hear what you're saying. We have added developing our own slideshow feature to our agenda. Until then, you can use third-party providers, however you'll completely rely on their way to make a feature mobile-compatible. There is also a slight possbility that their mobile code doesn't work well with our Mobile Publishing. I'm sorry that there's little we can do apart from what Laura provided to make a third-party provider's product work on your mobile Yola website.
