will it be quicker if they arnt hyper linked and just an image, although at the minute all my link pictures are the same size due to my code and the picture widget doesnt allwo the same sizing of many pictures
The reason why some of the images are taking long to load is because they have a large file size. The one labelled "reconditioned 4 pot callipers" is over 1mb in size and will take a long time to load. Web friendly images should be between 20KB and 100KB each, depending on how many you have on a page.
You can use the Picture Widget to optimize the images on your page. When you upload your image to the File Manager, the original image is stored in the File Manager. The optimization of the image only takes place when added to the page using the Picture Widget.
When the image is added to the page, you can click on "Edit" at the top of your Picture Widget. A dialog box will open up and under "Optimize", you will see the option to select "on" or "off". This will be indicated by a white outline around the selected button.
Optimizer "on" means the Image Optimization is turned on for the image and the image will now load faster on your page. If Image Optimizer is turned "off" then your original sized image is displayed on the page.
Can you give that a try and let us know if it doesn't help at all?
