Hi mich6,

That's an interesting question: What did you intend to do with your banner? You can turn your banner into an advertising link, by using the Link Editor (see instructions included below).

In general, no -- you don't need to add an HTML widget to your page to affect the banner. That's why I'm asking what you had in mind?

This is a relatively simply process. All you need to do is upload your banner as an image file and add it using either the image widget, or by clicking "insert image" on the text editing toolbar to add the banner inside a text widget.

You then need to turn the banner image into an active link using the SynthaSite link editor:

You can add links to images:
1. Add the image to your page, using the image widget
2. Click on Properties on the right-hand sidebar
3. Click on 'Choose a Link' and make your selection
4. Click on Apply

To check that your link is working, preview your page and then click on the link.

NOTE: If you add an image in a text widget, simply highlight it and click "insert link" on the text editing toolbar and follow the same steps as above. The icon looks like three links of a chain.

Hope that helps -- write back if you can tell me more about what you'd like your banner to do / be.
