Hi Usha,

You can choose a style that already has a horizontal menu. We have a post on this forum (http://getsatisfaction.com/SynthaSite...) which has a link to a document that has a handy filter function for you to see which style you might like.

If you would like to have both a horizontal and vertical menu - you can use the Firming or Begeodan styles.

Alternatively you can add text links as menu options, this post explains how to do this: http://getsatisfaction.com/SynthaSite...

Please let us know if you need any other help.

i made the horizontal navbar on my site, http://www.gamedemonarcade.com, by:
- looking up free clipart sites for buttons (i found the button i used at http://resources.bravenet.com/clipart... ).

- when i found the button i liked. i downloaded it (right click on the image and press save image as, and then save it to a file)

- then i uploaded it to photobucket and used the photo editor to put text on the button (tip- always save the original copy of the button so you don't have to upload it each time you make a new button one)

- (important step) then i retrieved the html code generated, replaced the first url (it will look something like: "http://s267.photobucket.com/albums/ii...) with that of the page on my site that the button will lead to.

- then i simply placed the html into an html widget and repeated the last 2 steps for each category (sports, adventure,...)

- then, to make them all appear in a straight line, just make sure you don't leave any spaces in between the codes, and that the buttons aren't too big to fit the screen. if that is the case, you might have to go back and resize the buttons

i hope this helps, tell me how it works out and/or if you have any questions

Hi there gamedemon I wish to give you a little warning about having your buttons stored at another location so far away from Synthasite. I would reccomend downloading the buttons from Photobucket and uploading them to your file manager and re-input the location within the code to reflect the changes.

Photobucket at times is down for service or the images can become unavailable. This does not happen often but it has been known to happen. It simply is much safer for you to have your buttons in and connected to your site...

I would hate to see your buttons not appear some day for your viewers to use
