Hi,

Did you purchase your domain name/s through Yola ? Please give some more information so we can attend to this issue :)

Hello Sandy,

I echo Rynaldo's request to share a bit more detail so that we can assist further. What domain names are you trying to use with your site? I'm sure that we can get this resolved.

Thank you. I bought two from yola. featheredfrenzy.net and feathered-frenzy.com and the other one is from Name Secure but is pointed to yola. It is featheredfrenzyaviary.com. I have a Feathered frenzy site on a different site builder and it is totally messing with google. I put up the new Parrot Posse site on Yola and the new domain name for that is Parrotposse.org

Hello Sandy,

Your domain featheredfrenzyaviary.com doesn't seem to be pointed correctly.

We have a tutorial on pointing your domain and publishing it here:

/Publish to a domain you already own

I hope this helps. If you need any further assistance, please let us know.

Hi Jeremy-that is because my website isn't there on yola anymore. I'm trying to get 3 domain names pointed to my new website. They are feathered-frenzy.com, featheredfrenzy.net (both purchased from yola) and featheredfrenzyaviary.com purchased from Name Secure. These were the 3 I was using on my yola site and they all worked. I am now trying to get them to point to my new Feathered Frenzy site which is featheredfrenzy.moonfruit.com. The website I have started on yola is now the Parrot Posse website. The domain name I purchased from yola for that site is working fine. I have been through the tutorials and I just don't get it.

Hi Sandy

Thank you for the update. To point your domains to your moonfruit site, you will need to create A Records in your Yola account. Here are the steps to follow:

  1. Login into your Yola account.

  2. In the MyYola menu, click on "Domains".

  3. Click on "Advanced settings" next to the domain name.

  4. Click on "Change DNS settings" to open the DNS dashboard.

  5. If there are A Records set, click on "Edit" to change the A Record to moonfruit's IP address.

  6. If you there are no A Records, click on "Add DNS record". Select "A" from the list of options, then enter moonfruit's IP address in the "value" field. You will need a blank A Record and another one for WWW.

  7. Click "Update" once you have added both A Records.

You will need to repeat this process for the other domain too.

I hope this helps. Let us know if you need further assistance.

Thank you-I tried this but I don't have IP address. Moonfruit wants me to point the CNAME record for the address to
http://featheredfrenzy.moonfruti.com I don't have numbers.

Hello Sandy,

You should be able to add a CNAME. Follow the steps that Nazlie has given you from 1-4. Instead of adding an A record, you would add a CNAME and input the relevant information.
