I am not a whizz with pointing websites. What I want to do is take a website that is hosted with plesk and send it to yola. website design is so much easier here so i want to do everything from yola and publish it to this already bought domain name.
I have attached a screen shot of the dns settings in plesk but im not sure where to go next. I would appreciate any help at all.
Kind Regards
Micheal

Hi Michael,
Thanks so much, we're thrilled to hear you want to move to Yola. You can point an external domain if you are a Yola Silver member. Please see our instructions here: Point an external domain for use with Yola.
Alternately you can Transfer your domain to Yola and use it with your Yola site.

Hi Laura,
I have already gone through that whole scenario. That's why i posted the above picture with the pointing settings and A records. Can someone have a look at it and see what im doing wrong. When I go into the host name website www.inmag.ie it says that it is pointing to yola but when i go to publish in yola the testing part says it is not pointing to yola, that doesnt make sense. I dont see any setting for @. Can someone explain how to do it. Im very anxious and getting confused about the whole thing.
Thanks
Micheal

Hello,
I can understand that this is quite frustrating, let's see if I can help.
I am not entirely familiar with the host you are using, but what I can say is that all of the A Records that point to 217.115.114.42 need to be removed as that is not Yola's ip address. Also, the 208.75.208.172 ip address needs to be removed as well.
What you need to do is set up two A Records, one for the www version and one for the non www version of your domain name, both pointing to our ip address 184.72.229.176.
I would say that the best thing to do if you are having trouble with the above would be to contact your host and ask them if they can assist with getting those two A Records set up. If they are not willing to help, I would suggest the alternative of transferring your domain to Yola where we can be your domain name manager and take care of these things for you.
If we can assist you further please let us know.
Kind Regards,
Emmy

Hi Emmy
Thanks for your reply, what happens to email if I remove everything except two A records pointing to yola, an email address is already being used news@inmag.ie and sales@inmag.ie. I don't want to lose these, thanks again

Hello Michael,
Removing the wrong thing could result in your email not working. I feel the safest thing to do at this point is to contact your registrar and request that they assist with the right fields to remove so that your email remains in tact. If you let them know the A Records you need added (for the www and non www version of your domain name pointing to ip address 184.72.229.176), they should be able to assist. I hope they can.
Kind Regards,
Emmy
