Hello, I am trying to get website up and running. I supposedly have pointed it correctly to Yola due to the message I get when I look up the address on the web. However, when I go to follow the directions to publish to the web, it tells me that it is not pointing correctly.
What am I doing wrong???Any help would be appreciated

web address and web site is GillieJigs.com

Hi Matthew,

When I check your site it tells me that it hasn't been published yet.

Another aspect then is that the DNS settings may have still been propagating when you last checked.

I would go ahead and re-publish then if it's still a problem check your A record settings;
One for www and one for @

That's ths issue, the programming will not let me publish to my address. it says that it is "pointed". when I go through the steps to actually publish the site, it says that the domain is not pointed correctly and will not let me go any farther.

The IP address for Yola that I have is 184.72.229.176. and I have both A records set for www and @. It has been FOUR DAYS since I started working on this part and THREE WEEKS since I realized I renewed my subscription wrong and began working on pulling my domain out of redemption!

It should not be this difficult!

The Yola support staff will investigate this for you Matthew. Hang in there.

Hello Matthew,

I have checked your domain and I see it is pointing to 72.52.4.95 - Can you please tell me who your domain registrar is? If it is an externally purchased domain it needs 2 a records pointing to 184.72.229.176 and not 72.52.4.95.

Can you please change these A records and see if you can publish your site.

Jeremy,

We worked with individuals through Tucows and our domain GillieJigs.com was recovered through Hover.com. From what I've read, I cannot transfer back to Yola for 3 months?, so I figured this pointing is what I needed to do. If you have information otherwise, and we can transfer back to Yola, I am all for it.

I had both A records pointing to 184.72.229.176 already, but just now reset the defaults and re-erased them, then added my A records again. I have a total of 2 A records one labeled @ and the second www with the above number as the IP address. I have tried to add a 3rd A record of gilliejigs.com, but the program resets it to an @ A record.

On another matter, while working on trying to get everything working, I mistakenly typed (without the 's' after jig) in a search field and was elated to have something happen. I did not realized I forgot the 'S' and bought another domain. If we could cancel that order, it'd be great, if not I understand. This other domain is rather useless to us at this time since all of our letterhead, inventory, signage all has GillieJigs.com.

thanks
