I have an image which displays as a fuzzy mush in preview, but in site builder is clear and perfectly acceptable. Any ideas as to why this is? I have checked on my photography based site with you and the same holds true for images there too.
The original high res image is still available in your File Manager. However, the image that is added to your page is compressed to ensure that your pages load quickly. Images with large file sizes are one of the primary reasons for poor performance of your website - so this is a very important feature for our users. However, if you are not used to it, it can be a bit of a surprise and I am sorry you were taken off guard.
The article above gives you other options for resizing your image if you do not want to use the new automatic image re-size tool.
As this is a new feature, we will be looking for ways to improve it, so please send us any feedback you have so that we can pass it on to our product team.
