Hi,

I'm trying to setup in custom nameserver records for my domain www.hosteight.co.uk but keep receiving an error saying the nameserver is missing.

After reading through the support topics i'm come to the conclusion that my nameservers have to be added to your list to be recognised.

Could you please add the following nameserver name's to your database please.

ns1.hosteight.co.uk - 31.170.163.241
ns2.hosteight.co.uk - 64.191.115.234
ns3.hosteight.co.uk - 173.192.183.247
ns4.hosteight.co.uk - 31.170.164.249

Thank you.

Hi,

Same error still occurs when trying to use the above nameserver names.

400: Nameserver [ns1.hosteight.co.uk] is missing or unknown IP address

Thanks.

Hi Tom,

When I look up your DNS information I see all 4 nameservers attached to your records properly. Can you tell us a bit more about what you are trying to accomplish in case there's anything else we can suggest?

Hi Laura,

Those are the default nameservers for the server. I have setup custom nameservers and want to get my domain to point at them.

They are ns1.hosteight.co.uk and ns2.hosteight.co.uk however when I use those names and the IP's posted above I receive the 400 error, even though they've been added into your list.

Thanks.

Hi,

Just noticed i've given the wrong IP's in relation to the above nameservers.

Correct ones are:

ns1.hosteight.co.uk - 108.171.219.228
ns2.hosteight.co.uk - 108.171.219.229

Can you add these please, have just attempted to and still receive the 400 error.

Thanks.

Hi,

still coming across the 400 error when trying to set these as my DNS details, are you able to modify from your end to bypass this error?

Thanks.

Hi,

Just viewed another topic at http://forum.yola.com/yola/topics/reg... and realised that glue records need to be added to my domain for the nameservers to work as they are custom ones.

Could you request for someone to do this for me?

Note: account domain is www.hosteight.co.uk and dns servers are:

ns1.hosteight.co.uk - 108.171.219.228
ns2.hosteight.co.uk - 108.171.219.229

Thanks.

Hi Naseem,

It can take up to 48 hours for DNS records to propagate, how long ago did you make the updates? It could just be a matter of time.
