Hello Unisa

Once a domain is registered, you will not be able to change the domain name any more afterwards. As you only purchased it yesterday, I can do a refund for you if you want, and you can then purchase the other domain name. If your company is also known by "kamaraestates", though, I would rather recommend you to keep this domain and purchase the domain name kamarahomes additionally. This will keep someone else to use your business name on the internet, and having multiple domains can improve your ranking in search engines. Just let me know what you want to do. In case you want the refund, I need to know very soon before Easter holidays start, a later refund will unfortunately not be possible.

Can you please give me more details about the problem you have when you upload pictures? Did you know that you should resize your pictures to 20-100KB per picture, so that visitors can quickly load your site and your storage space won't reach the limit too soon? Large image files can be a problem for uploading to the File Manager, especially if you select more than one picture to upload.

When you upload, what exactly happens? Does the loading circle run forever and your image is not uploaded? Or don't you even get to choose the source from which you want to upload? We'd need to know that to help you further best. Thank you for your cooperation.

Hey, I am so appreciatve of your quick response. The actual name of the company is: "Kamara Homes" thats how we have been promoting it on "twitter, facebook, goodle+, Cregslist and linkedin. We choose "kamaraestates" due to the fact that Kamarahomes.com was unavailable so we choose "Kamaraestates.com" but will accept "kamarahomes.co"
Whenever we try to upload our pictures, once loading it locks and stays in the gray area saying: "loading". The banner I tried to upload the pictures off yola and nothings happens again.
Help,

Thank you for coming back to me. Please let me know if you want the refund or rather keep your domain as time is running out to be able to give you a refund.

In the meantime I will investigate on the picture upload problem in your Yola account and let you know if I have any news.

Here my update for you: I'm afraid I wasn't able to replicate the image upload problems that you reported. I went into your account and could upload pictures and banners without any problems. I even uploaded a 1.4MB picture which is usually not recommended, and it worked out fine.

I created a test page on your website named "Test". Don't worry, it's not in your navigation and you can easily delete this page again. You can access it via your page selector in Sitebuilder and see what I have checked (you can keep the pictures if you want, they're in your File Manager).

So can you please try these general trouble-shooting steps on your side:

  • Try loading the site on a different computer or network to see if you experience the problem.

  • Check to see if you are having problems with your network or internet service provider.

  • Clear your browser's cache. This link has more information: Clear your browser's cache.

  • Check your privacy settings. You must accept cookies from Yola. Please click on this link to find instructions for accepting cookies with your browser: Accept cookies.

  • Check that your browser is set to enable Javascript. This link has more information on how to check: Enable Javascript.

  • Try loading the site in a different browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer).

If none of these suggestions solves the problem, please let us know.

Stefan, good morning.
How about the changing of the domain name? Would you suggest that I close the account and start over or can you do?

Your Yola account is independent from your domains and you won't need to close it.

After purchasing a domain, you cannot change the domain name any more.
So what you would need to decide is whether
  • you would like to keep your first domain and buy the other domain name that you want as a second, additional domain (this is what I would recommend to you) or

  • cancel the first domain, we will refund you, and you buy the domain name that you want which will be then your only domain.

For either decision there is unfortunately no way to change an existing domain name – so you will need to buy the domain name you really want newly.

If you choose the first option, i.e. you keep your first domain, you can still decide again in one year's time if you want to go on with that first domain. If you don't, you can just let it expire. Also, you can publish your Yola website to both domains at the same time, so that visitors will reach your website by either domain.

Does that make sense? Please let me know if anything is still unclear. Looking forward to your decision.
