Problem with DNS confirmation

I built a site and wanted to publish it under an existing domain I own. I sent a note to the gentleman who handles my domain and asked him to set the DNS to 208.75.208.172, which he says he did today. I tried to publish the site, and it's not matching up...I'm not getting the "smiley face." It says the URL is pointing to 208.75.209.232. Is this one of the things that is subject to the "up to 48 hours" window? Just wanted to know if I should be concerned. I read all of the troubleshooting guides already.

Also, he had a question why when he put 208.75.208.172 in his web browser, some site called hsnetsolutions comes up. Is that the same thing?

Hello,
That isn't what needed to be changed. DNS settings are for domain name management, which your registrar (whoever you bought your domain from) needs to provide you.

What you need to do is have the person who handles your domain edit the A Record to point to Synthasite's ip address: 208.75.208.172; you will also need to have this person change your dns settings back to whatever they were before.

This should fix things. Please let us know if you need further assistance.

Kind Regards,
Emmy

My apologies, I re-read the email I got back from him. He did say IP address, not DNS... should I still be having this problem?

From the screen shot you posted your domain name is not currently configured to point towards Synthasite. Please check with the gentleman you are working with; you could forward to him the first response I gave you.
