Hello all,
Could you please try logging out of your Site Builder, closing your browser and coming back into the Site Builder; then please try to upload your file again.

Please let me know if you are able to upload.

Thanks!

Wouldn't you know it the day I get back to working on my site I get the same problem... I was in a groove too. What a shame

I have submitted a support message.

Hmmm this means I have to sleep tonight. Now that's a shame. ;)

Even the old faithful switching between styles and back again did not work... I am sitting on my hands so to speak. I guess it is sleep after all...

Great to see you Ed! Sorry about the file manager. We are still scratching our head over this error. For now logging out and in again seems to help. One possible cause could be editing from two different windows at the same time, so it would be great if you could let me know if you are doing this.

So I gather you did not get my support message???

Two windows open... LOL... Girl you know me better than that. ;)

I tried:

1) refreshing the site builder
2) refreshing the page
3) signing out then in
4) clearing temp, cache and history
5) restarting my computer
6) using IE, FF and Opera (Logging in and out and then back in)
7) Changing styles and back again
and a few more but my mind is cloudy.

I get as far as the "from computer" or "file manager" pop up and then the error pop up says hello once I click on one.

I was able to change the banner and background on 5 of my pages but when I tried the 6th it errored out on me. Sadly I cannot change or add any images on any page now. It happens on every page I try it on. Odd though because my honeybearplayhomes is the only site affected. All others I can edit to my hearts content.

Two windows... Monique you crack me up. ;)

Sorry I had to ask (already knew the answer) but this is the theory that is being put forward. Thank you for helping me dispute it conclusively! I will tell engineering that they crack you up and they need to take another look ;)

Yeah and now as I tried the trusted style switch I am at step one all over again as my banner and background defaulted.

Stinky stuff happens, ;)

Anyways, I guess I can sit on my hands for a little while but it's driving me nuts.

The horse of course the famous Mr. Ed

Hmmm ;) LOL love to kid you all ;)

Okay

image upload from computer... no error
image from file manager... no error

I tried it on two pages so far and will of course let you know if I can make it to the last page tomorrow.

Only negative is that the file manager is awfully slowwww. Hmmm gonna have to save the rebuild for tomorrow but here is my new background. I spent hours making one honeycomb and then the full page of them only to crop and reduce my work so you cant see any detail. Sad huh???

Thanks all now I can get to sleep and save the hard stuff for tomorrow. Too bad there was no way to hyper drive the file manager load speed though.

Here's another thought. Could it be possible to simply paste the banner and background image URL's in the space provided and have an update button on the properties sidebar? That way we don't have to go and do this for each and every page because it gets old very fast you know. Maybe a future add on to the site builder.

Thanks again and see my hula dance for a laugh...

Hi Ed. The slowness is expected the first time you use it after getting the error. The next time you use it, it should be back to normal. Good suggestion about the ability to apply the background at a site level. We will be implementing something along those lines. (And now I am going to try to get that image of you out of my brain!)

Hey M...

Boy 2 hours later and I am finally done with the background and banner changes. I tell you what the file manager is truly tricky. When adding the images once you click the "from file manager" button and the loader pop-up appears if the rotating loader in the little red box does not freeze within the first 4 rotations you better kiss a quick load goodbye. If it continues to spin past 4 spins you have to close the load page out and either reopen and try again, refresh the site builder page or go to another page on your site and return to the one you had the loader fail on to try again. 2+ hours for 20 pages and that was just the banners and the backgrounds. That would have taken be less than half of that before the update. Some pages I had to refresh multiple times.

I had the error pop-up show only once within the first 4 pages but I closed it out and refreshed the page. I seemed to be the speed at which I clicked the next button like I explained in my email but I cannot be sure. After that no issues but the lag on the loader. (minutes)

You know... Just to put your mind at ease as I am a former US Marine I could never get so large as the bodies above. The head is mine the body is not. Whenever you need a funny moment just glance at this thread and think of me. ;) I posted it here as well to break up the mood of the other thread. http://getsatisfaction.com/SynthaSite...

I think they needed a bit of humor there rather than more opinions anyway...

Thanks for the kudos on the background. You can imagine how pleased I am with the overall appearance and the way the page peel looks with it. That thing was too much work for such a little image to create oneself. Tell whoever picked Tastelessy for the new color schemes and background ability I owe them a drink of their choice. ;)

Finally off to sleep. Oh wait maybe not I need to be up in a few hours anyway.

Happy site building
Ed

Yeah, I no longer believe you when you say you are going to bed. I feel your pain with the file manager and we will certainly keep a close eye on this and look for a permanent solution to the performance issues.

Your site looks sweet now hula-boy! lol
Nice to see you back up to your old tricks.

Monique, I think I've picked up another problem?

The "horizontal rule" tag no longer seems to work!
It works in RedPlanet but not in Tastelessy.
Very strange.....

Just tried it on Tastelessly and it works for me. Maybe you have some other code that is interfering. Can you give us more detail on how you are adding the tag and what else you have on the page.

Ok...I created a new test page now.
The only thing on it is one html widget with the following code.
<!--
<hr />
-->

It displays nothing on Tastelessly.
If I change styles to RedPlanet it displays the HR.
When I change back to Tastelessly it displays nothing again.

Ok, I think I have it now.

I added the hr tag by editing the HTML of the text widget. Worked no problem. But when I used the HTML widget it did not display as you said.

See screenshot:

So I am going to log this as a bug but is is going to carry a low priority. In the meantime try the workaround of using the text widget for your hr tags when you are using Tastelessly.

The HR shows up in the site builder but not on the published site.

I've just changed styles from Level 2.0 to Tastelessly and that's when
I noticed the missing HR. You see, I have it just above a footer message
on about 20 pages. The horizontal rule looks nice at the bottom of the
page, just above the message.

I hope this bug does not carry a low priority as I really started likeing
the Tastelessly template. Oh well ......

Thanks Monique & Marije,
Just want to check one more thing...

If you make a text link with Tastelessly template, the link is not underlined.
Is this normal with Tastelessly or is it also a bug.

Is this about the hr tags that you are bumping the thread? If so the bug has been fixed and the fix will be available with our next release, which is due in about 10 days time. Sorry about the wait but the nature of the bug is such that we would fix it with a normal release cycle. The link text on that style is working as designed (no underline, but displays in blue) (Some people are sorry that they didn't get back to you!)

I was inquiring more about the link text not being underlined.
Ok, so that means I need to leave the links in "blue" to differentiate.........pity.

(Oh... no worries Kershnee)
