problem with some images not loading, and using the indent feature

This is a report of a problem and a suggestion that may help be resolve the problem myself.

I'm having a problem where sometimes I get a message saying "This site is currently unavailable. Please try again in a couple of minutes. " It's very off and on, and when I try another page on my site it works or maybe is missing an image or two. It keeps changing from being down, to missing an image or two, and then back to being okay. Is there possibly a glitch going around causing this for other users? I'm using firefox, and I haven't noticed it go wrong in google chrome, but like I said, it's very off and on, so since that's not my main browser, I have no idea if it goes through the same inconsistent activity.

My site: http://kzkitchen.yolasite.com/

I have a confession, my "slab sizes" page does have some content copied from Microsoft word since I have trouble getting your tab feature to work sometimes. Like I can indent to the right, but not undo that indent without going into the html editor and making up indent points. I had to resort to using the html editor, poorly, to get another page "sales" to show adequate indenting. So back to the confession, I'm wondering if me using content copied from word to get proper indenting and line spacing has come back to bite me in the ass,

Is there anyway your team can incorporate an undo indent feature and choosing the line spacing, because sometimes my line spacing is different, and I have no idea why, like on my "Granite Colors " page. And it makes the whole page look messy since I can't get the images to line up in a row. The same problem happens on many other pages, but It's most obvious on the "granite colors" page.
When I used to use the freewebs site I had a similar problem so I always assumed it's a universal free website creator issue that I will never see a solution to. I figure if I was truly skilled with HTML coding, I could fix it, but I can't figure it out. I originally copied much of my content from the freewebs editor when I switched over to yola, so I bet that didn't help.

So since I started this post, I have been reloading my site to see if the glitch is still happening, and I don't notice it occurring now, but I'm still concerned if it's going to be a problem later. As this happened once or twice before.

Hi lyn.of.kz,

First of all, you have done some stunning stone work, can my kitchen be next?

The fact that you are confessing about your use of copied text from MS Word leads me to believe you know the perils but have opted to take the risk anyway. Just be aware this can lead to your site not loading in the Sitebuilder or breaking the display in your live site. More info here. I'm confident we can assist you within your layout design goals in ways that do not include copying and pasting from Word, so please let us know if you'd like us to work with you on that once you've cleared all the copied text.

Regarding your image display issues, we have recently noticed an increase in connectivity issues with Amazon's cloud services and Flickr's image hosting. We suspect that these network glitches are having an adverse affect on our hosting, and we are working as hard as we can to strengthen our code to handle these quirks better. We are working to decrease the likelihood that such problems will affect us going forward as well as improving the redundancy of our services so that we don't rely as much on other sites being up. We truly appreciate your patience while our engineers improve this segment of our code and hope that it will have a minimum impact on you now and a positive impact on your website in the future.

Laura-
Thanks for you quick response. I love how you guys at Yola really seam to care about your users. That's why I continue to be a member.

so, I take it the best thing for me to do is to use that tool you suggest to take away the formatting, and try using the indenting button the best I can? Do you have any ideas on how to make my granite colors page formatting look cleaner? It always bugs me that the images don't line up the same even though I use the same font and size for everything.

Is there any way that someone on your team can add the "undo indent" button to make that easier for me to use? I believe you used to have one, and it stopped working properly and it was removed. Will it ever come back? I'm a little concerned if I remove the formatting and start over, I may never get it looking right. I just don't have much faith in my html skills.

If you are near any of our locations, I'd be happy to help you get the best deal we can offer. Our products are very inexpensive and good quality. Most of our customers end up being very pleased. Some of the customer after shots on the site our from my mom's/mother in law's house, and they were very happy with the results as well. My main goal in this company is to make sure everybody I work with ends up being happy. That's why I put so much care in the website.

Even if you can just note my tiny suggestions to the rest of the team, that would really make me really happy. I think I'm going to hold off on fixing that "slab sizes" page until a little later in the hope that the indenting feature will become easier to use. I'm just kinda lazy like that. haha.

And on a personal note: you daughter is beautiful! She has my same color hair as me when I was her age, hehe. Have a good day, Laura!

Thanks so much lyn.of.kz, we're rather partial to her! I'm in Northern CA and as much as I want my kitchen redone it's not very high on our new home owners to do list (or budget!). Still, a girl can dream!

I will absolutely pass your feedback on.

In the meantime, there are a number of ways to adjust your layout aside from using custom code, one of which is the column divider widget. I understand your fear of losing all your work. What I suggest is that you use the "Save page as" feature to create a duplicate of your Granite Colors page. You can then keep the page out of your navigation, remove the MS Word text and play around with the formatting. Let us know if you want any help with this!

This has been a problem for me this last week. It is unacceptable having the site down several times a day for few minutes as my user base is increasing and I cant drive away new users with down time. My website is
www.crash-itproductions.com

If this keeps persisting I dont see an alternative other than changing hosts.

The site is now working fine and I didn't need to clear my cache. As someone who considers myself tech-savvy, I am curious as to what the problem was. Are you allowed to tell me?

Hi Aleksey,

I'm glad everything's working now. The problem was caused by one of the servers being temporarily unavailable, and your site was on that server.

so today I opened my webpage, and the images weren't all coming up but after refreshing twice, they all loaded.
Just wanted to share that so you Yola team members know it's a persistent issue. Thankfully it's not down, and hopefully my visitors will refresh the page if they notice a problem. Not very worried about it, but I just want to put that info out there in case others have the same problem still.

to be fair though, my internet at work is always slow, so that may be why the images sometimes don't load right.
