Hi All

We are currently experiencing technical difficulties with www.yola.com. As a result you might be unable to reach the website, or if you are logged in to the site builder you may see error messages when trying to edit your page.

We are aware of the problem and we are working to fix it as soon as possible. Please bear with us. We will update this thread with further information once we know more.

Our apologies for the inconvenience!

Hi Rizan22,

There are no problems at this end that I'm aware of, are you still unable to open your site?

Hi Najaf,

To publish your site, click on the big yellow "Publish My Site" button at the top of the page. You will be given three choices for publishing your site:

1.

You can buy a custom (or dotcom) domain name from Yola. The cost is US$19.95 per domain per year, and includes automatic setup and hosting. In this case, your website's address will look like this: www.yourdomain.com, www.yourdomain.net, www.yourdomain.org or www.yourdomain.biz - the choice is yours.
* To purchase a custom domain name through Yola, select the "Buy my own domain name" option.
* Type in the domain name that you wish to buy. A quick search will be done, letting you know if this domain name is available or not. Then click on "Next".
* Choose your options. You can purchase more than one domain and you can pay for more than one year. You also have the option to pay for domain privacy so that your details are not publically available.
* Please fill in the form required (we need this information in order to register the domain name on your behalf), and you will be taken through the steps to purchase your own domain name.
* Please note, it can take up to 48 hours for domain names to be transferred and your site to be up and running.
2.

Publish your site using a free SynthaSite subdomain name. In this case your website's address will look like this: http://yourdomain.synthasite.com
* To publish to a free subdomain name, click on "Use a free SynthaSite subdomain", type the domain name you would like to use into the box provided.
* Then, if it is available, click "Next". Your site will then be published and will be available immediately on the internet.
3.

You can publish your site using a domain name that you already own.
* If you have a domain you have purchased elsewhere, please click here for a tutorial on how to set it up to point to your Yola website: http://www.yola.com/tutorials/publish...
* After clicking on "Publish my Site", click on "I already own a domain name" and follow the steps until your site is published.

I hope this helps.

Hi IdG,

Can you try the steps Emmy mentions above:
* Check to see if you are having problems with your network or internet service provider.
* Clear your browser's cache. This link has more information: http://www.wikihow.com/Clear-Your-Bro....
* Check your privacy settings. You must accept cookies from Yola. Please click on this link to find instructions for accepting cookies with your browser: http://www.google.com/cookies.html.
* Check that your browser is set to enable Javascript. This link has more information on how to check: http://www.ehow.com/how_4815661_turn-....
* Try loading the site in a different browser (eg. Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer). We would suggest using the Firefox browser as this browser seems to work best in the Yola environment. It is a free download if you would like to give it a try: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/....
* Try loading the site on a different computer or network if possible.

Let us know if none of those steps work for you.

Hi Amanda,

Our website, site builder and hosted sites are back up and running again.

Can you please have a look again and let me know if you are still having problems?

We are so sorry this happened and very happy to be back! We will be keeping an eye on things for some time, but we are cautiously optimistic that this problem is behind us.

Hi Eliza,

Could you tell us what happens when you try and access Yola pages- do you get any error messages? If so, please let us know what they say. If you are not getting any error messages, could you send us a screenshot of what the browser displays.

We'd love to help you get to the bottom of this.

Hello Derlyne

I was able to navigate to your website gibsonsbackfortybooks.yolasite.com. Did you mean that you cannot access your live site or your website in the Yola Sitebuilder?

Please try these general trouble-shooting steps:
  1. Clear your cache.

  2. Use a different browser.

  3. Try on a different computer.

If none of these options solve the problem, please let us know.
