Can't get my 123 reg domain to point at Yola,

I've followed all the steps, and seem to have gotten my '@' to point correctly but not my 'www'

my biggest question is should it actually be 'www' or 'www.domain.co.uk'

?

Hi there StephB,

I did just respond to you over on this other thread: Pointing 123-reg domains to Yola. I hope the information on that thread will be helpful.

Kind Regards,
Emmy

no its not helpful, it just says '@' and 'name' so does this mean
'abespoketouch', 'www.abespoketouch.co.uk', 'abespoketouch.co.uk'
?

Hello,
I think I see what the trouble might be. You need to have 2 A Records one with the name @ and the other with the name * (an asterisk)

Both need to point to the IP address: 184.72.229.176.

I know this can be very confusing. If you continue to have trouble with this you could possibly contact 123-Reg and ask their support team for a bit of assistance. The other option would be to fully transfer your domain to Yola whereas then we would be your domain name manager and handle all of this for you. If you wanted to go that route, here is a link to a tutorial with more information: Transfer domain to Yola

If I can assist you further please let me know.

Kind Regards,
Emmy

In reference to pointing dns from 123 to yola, looking at point 5 of your help it just says '@' and 'name' so does name mean
'abespoketouch', 'www.abespoketouch.co.uk', 'abespoketouch.co.uk'
?

Hi StephB,
That is correct, you cannot transfer a .co.uk domain to Yola, I'm sorry about that. I have looked at 123-reg website and their help pages and found the area for how to add A Records. Here is a link to the page I was looking at: How to change my DNS settings. It looks like there is an @ and a www and you put in our ip address 184.72.229.176 in to the fields available and make sure you are adding an A Record. On the page that I gave you this would be Step 4. I am also attaching a screen shot. I really hope this helps. Let us know how it goes.
