Hello Gop
Many thanks for your advice. I added Ecwid to Facebook and now have Shop.
Would you please know if I am able to integrate the 'Shop' with 'Yola Website' on Facebook. Also if I have a 'blog page' in my website am I able to link this to my FB page whereby FB user can interact by adding comments etc. to my blog?

Hi Julie,

I don't know all the answers to the questions unfortunately.

Shop with website: May I ask if you mean integrating your whole site into FB so that it becomes mirrored entirely in FB? I think this is what Stefan is leaning towards and should be able to help with this.

Re the Blog:
The Yola blog can't be integrated as far as discrete FB comments made on Yola blog posts. No-one has developed this level of integration. You can make comments but they all get lumped on each post irrespective of which post they were made on. There won't be any further development on the Yola blog as it is now being deprecated.

Hi Gop
Many thanks again for your help.

Yes, I would like to integrate the whole site into FB so that it mirrors Yola, if this is possible.

With regard to the Blog.. my goal was to mirror the Yola blog in FB so as when I write it automatically mirrors in FB (and visa versa) with visitors being able to comment on the content. I tried adding Tumblr but could not achieve what I had set out to do.

At this early stage of your blog page I would really persist and get the Tumblr option setup to your vision. The Yola Blog is just not guaranteed for the long run.

What would you like to achieve with Tumblr?

Hello Julie

Do you mean that you published your Yola website to Facebook using Facebook Publishing? Can you please provide a link to your Facebook business page?

Hello Julie

Facebook Publishing currently doesn't support custom code. On your website there is a custom navigation menu on the left-hand side which doesn't display on the Facebook version of your Yola website in the first place. So the link to your Online Store on your website is now not visible on your Facebook version which is why your Online Store is not accessible from your Facebook version.

On your live site I saw that your Online Store isn't part of your website, but linked to from your website. I presume that if you had a visible link to your Online Store on your Facebook version, opening the link would open a new window to your Online Store, just as it does on your web version.

However, what I wonder about is the fact that you purchased Yola Online Store, but you didn't add it to your Yola website by using the Online Store Widget. You won't need to link to your Yola Online Store from your website, but you can add it directly to your site. If you add your Yola Online Store via the Online Store Widget and you link to it via your main horizontal navigation menu, it will display with Facebook Publishing and be usable for your customers.

Hi Stefan,
Sorry, I need to ask you to confirm my understanding as I'm pretty hopeless at getting the gist in written format!. Are you advising that currently my Yola Online Store is not added to my Yola website by using the online store widget? If so, am I able to alter this please. I had a website guy build the site for me and I'm not sure what he has done. I have asked for a review, however is there anyone who would assist by check it out for me and alter any problems. I hadn't realised that I could have asked Yola to build the site for me at a cost of $400. I paid more!

Hello Julie

I'm sorry to hear that! As far as I can see, your Yola Online Store hasn't been added to your website directly by using the Online Store Widget from your Yola Sitebuilder. However, when clicking on pictures of your products, it opens a new tab/window with your Yola/ecwid Online Store, and your customers can access it from there. From my personal point of view this is not a good way to add your Online Store to your website. Your Online Store is designed to be added via the Online Store Widget to one or multiple pages of your site. Maybe the person who created the site for you didn't know?

Of course you can change this by adding the Online Store Widget to any of your pages. I'd suggest to not place it on your home page, but on one of the main pages of your site which should be linked to in your main navigation provided by your Style Template. This will also make your Online Store accessible with Facebook Publishing.

If you're not happy with your designer's work, I'd suggest to rebuild your site step by step. You can keep the custom vertical left-hand side navigation, however it will not display with Facebook and Mobile Publishing at the moment. Also, I noticed that this vertical navigation bar has not been added to every page of your site, which it should probably be.

If you need any assistance with concrete questions, please let us know, and we'll be happy to help. If you are a beginner, I'd recommend to browse our tutorials. We've managed to compile a quite powerful tutorial collection (many of which include screenshots) on almost every subject around building your website with Yola.

Hi Julie

If Yola can't help, I would be happy to. Take a look at my website to see if you like how I do things www.sunnydownbusstories.co.uk.

I tend to stick to Yola supplied templates and widgets to make sure it all works no matter what - and the site looks good on a mobile phone or ipad.

Let me know if you are interested.

Hello Julie,

It sounds like you're interested in the Yola Premier package we offer.
Details of the offer can be found here: Yola Premier. The cost of this package is $499.95.

The amount of time it will take will depend on how much content goes into this site and the design process. The design consultant will be able to clarify further with you should you sign up.

I hope that helps.
