Hi All

This is just to let you know that one of the services we rely on for publishing your sites is currently unavailable due to an unexpected failure.

Our engineers are working on a solution and we hope to have publishing restored as soon as possible. For now, when you try to publish your sites, you will get a message that publishing is unavailable. However, you will still be able to edit your site, and no live sites will be affected. As soon as this is solved you will be able to update your site with any changes that you made.

We apologize for the inconvenience and hope you will bear with us a little longer while we work to resolve it. We will keep you informed of our progress.

Thanks a million for having the decency to let us all know. I was beginning to think the problem was at my end. There is no substitute for excellent service.

Hi Again

I have an update. Our engineers have a partial fix and it now works as follows:

1) Anyone can update an already published site.
2) Anyone can publish to a yolasite subdomain.
3) If you want to buy a domain for the first time you will get an error message.

So publishing to subdomains and updating bought domains and subdomains has been turned on. Buying domains is still broken due to the unavailability of authorize.net. However, once this is solved you will be able to purchase domains again.

I hope this helps. Thanks again for everyone's patience and support. Please post here if you have any questions or difficulties.

A further update: we have deployed an additional fix now that will allow customers to buy domains using PayPal but not authorize.net, as they continue to be unavailable and have been for a number of hours. Sadly no one has been able to contact them to find out what the problem is and when service might be restored, but we do know that many online merchants are affected by this outage.

We hope to hear something soon, but in the meantime we are in a position to assist you with publishing your site and registering your domains.

Hi, i've been missing for a while and just now trying to catch up.....I am a bit confused as to who is "authorize.net" ??? If I was almost ready to publish my site and intend to buy a domain, I thought that PayPal was the only option which i'm more than happy with but who or what is this 'authorize.net' - never heard of it.

Thanks in advance

Hi Indi - Authorize.net is our service we use to process our payments. They've been experiencing some trouble today which unfortunately affects us (and a lot of other people too).
