Problems uploading files

@YolaWeb still having issues w/the uploading photos. Is it me or the site?

It is working fine on my end.

I'm sorry to hear you are struggling to upload files and we would like to find out why this is happening. Please can you check the following:

1. What browser and browser version are you using?
2. What operating system are you using?
3. What version of Flash have you got installed. In order to find out, see: http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewC.... Please ensure you are using the latest version of Flash. **This is very important information, so please let us know**
4. How are you connecting to the internet? (eg, from home, work, school, internet cafe etc)
5. If you have access to a different browser, computer or network environment please try to upload a file and let us know if the error still occurs or if you get a different result.

Hi, Thank you for your help!
1) I use Mozilla but I also tried explore also. I am having issues in both browsers.
2) Windows PX
3) WIN 10,0,22,87
4) Home
5)--
6) cleared the cache and logged out
7)ok

I upload the picture and the box comes up blank with a small X on the left corner of the box.

Please let me know if you need any more information.

Hi Pamela

This information is very helpful, thank you. It looks like you have all the system requirements in place for the file manager to work. However, there seems to be a problem with the actual image file. You could email it as an attachment to support@yola.com so that we can take a look.

Also, let us know if you have used any image editing software to edit the image. The problem could be that the images have a CMYK color mode attached to them - which is not web friendly. You should be able to set your color mode to RGB-16bit and you will then be able to upload them. An easy way to do this is instead of just selecting "save", choose "save for web" in Photoshop, if that is what you use. The image will then be automatically saved in the correct format.

I am sure we can get to the bottom of this!

I am doing updates and no problems here....Are your images very large or maybe in a format other than jpg or gif ?

Thanks Monique. I did edit the image with the software. I use Picasa to edit the pics. I will try that. I tried a few different images. I will try again. Thank you.

There is not a save to the web option in Picasa. I will send the image to you now to see if its ok. The one image I used already was scanned, is that why it worked? I just tried a few pics from that album I am trying to use, and its not working. Thanks I will send the image over now.

I am trying to upload files that open in Yola. I have done it in the past but cant remember. I believe I saved the file as PDF and then JPEG. Can you give me the steps for this?

Hello Jennifer,

If you have added your file as a JPG, then you can use the Picture Widget to add your image to the site. Otherwise, if you wish to use the PDF option, please check out this tutorial: Embedding PowerPoints, PDFs and other files onto your website.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having this trouble. I'm sure that it is quite frustrating! Please can you try these troubleshooting steps:

1. Clear the cache in your browser.
2. Update your Flash.
3. Update your Java.
4. Try using a different browser.

Please can you let us know what happens when you try to upload? Does it keep loading or do you see an error message? What particular suggestions did you try? Do you have any security programs such as pop-up blocker, ad-blocker, spam blocker, Firewall, anti-virus, etc?? If so, please try disabling them to see if that helps.

Lastly, what size is your image file that you're trying to upload as well as the name of this file?

it keeps on uploading...but the uploading bar doesnt move..i tried everything you told me!.....no, i dont have any security programs..

i am trying to upload total 4 files: total 1mb aprox.

Hello,
When I choose a file to upload, a screen pops up asking me if I want to upgrade to silver, but yet I have not used any of my data quota yet. When I click no thanks, it closes the screen and neglects to upload. I have tried several browsers and have not been able to upload a photo (aka get past the upgrade screen)

It sounds like you are trying to upload too large of a file. Please note that with the free Yola account you can upload files up to 5MB each.
