Window title is that place that shows on your page tab. It's important for your page rankings and each page should be different.

Page title is far less important in SEO rankings. It may be left blank. It's main purpose is a visual title on your page.

Hi Jill,

Thanks Peter!

Just to add to what Peter has mentioned, the Window Title (also the Title Tag in the html code) will also be displayed in the search engines results pages for Internet users to click on. Here is a link to our Knowledge Book topic on meta tags: Creating Title, Description and Keywords Tags.

For the page heading (which is in the top banner image), this can be a good place to put the title of your page and include something descriptive about the page as the search engines will look at text that is wrapped in a Header Tag as holding a bit more weight, but it is just one small piece.

Hope this helps!

Kind Regards,
