publishing my website, IP is added

i am trying to publish my website, and my domain services guy already pointed it to Yola, when i go to my site builder it does not give me the option of "if you already have a domain"button, whats the problem?? i have registered 2 websites before with no problem. the website is www.geoffbassett.co.za

Chene is the site published as a subdomain (Yolasite) ?

If your site is already published to a Yola subdomain, go to My Yola.
Click on "Domains".
Under "Add a domain you already own" select "Want to keep your domain registered with another registrar?"
Type your domain name into the required field, and select the site you'd like to use it with.
Click "Add".
Follow steps provided.

If that still doesn't work I would re-check my DNS settings (A records, making sure you have 2) in your dashboard at GoDaddy. It appears to be OK but still worth checking.

The short answer is "Yes".

To use a domain registered with an external registrar you need to purchase the silver plan. The pricing outlines are here

You can also purchase a domain through Yola and you don't need to be subscribed to silver just the purchase price for a domain which is pre-configured to the DNS requirements for Yola ready to go.

I am highly disgusted, as i have done other websites without paying any money. Please dont market the fact that we can design our websites for free, cause it is a whole lot of hog wash, i am already paying a R1000.00 rand on all my websites, and now i have to pay an extra $99 dollars for this, daylight robbery!!!!!!!!!!!

if i buy the silver, what happens to my emails?, what happens to all my websites do they also fall under the $99 package?, do i get my money back from my service provider here in south africa????

as per usuall i have to wait hours and hours to get any response from you.

i am loosing money because i cant load my website!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if there is anyone out there that can assist pls help me.

I understand that you are upset. I hope to take a few minutes to explain why we have changed things a bit. We have and will continue to offer people to build their sites for free and even publish it for free using a .yolasite subdomain.

Yola is a business though. In order for us to continue sustaining the ability to provide you with website building and hosting, we need to find a way to generate revenue to continue providing you with the tools to create and publish your site.

We do believe that our prices are fair when you consider all the features you receive when upgrading to Silver. This is an account-level package (so it applies to all of your sites) which incorporates the following features:

1. Removal of the Yola Link on all sites.
2. Ability to create up to 25 sites.
3. Unlimited domain pointing.
4. Bigger storage.
5. Larger file uploads.
6. Unlimited access to Premium styles.
7. A couple of one-time bonuses such as Google Adwords and FB adverstising credits.
8. Domain credit and one year domain privacy.

Your email is not affected as your external domain can remain with your current domain registrar. You're just pointing the domain to your site.

Few questions:
1. does the $99 dollars include all my sites that have already been created? it says that i can design 25 sites and you can host it all for $99?
2. do i have to cancel something with my service provider?
3. why is it that you say we have call access to the support team anytime, when i just phoned and they indicated that our service is only from 12-10pm, but i am in south africa, so my hours are different 8am-6pm, but i cant get through to my south african support team. are there other numbers to phone? it is now 8.30am in South Africa.
4. i have emailed support@yola.com with no luck.........................

will you be able to take me through everything to change over to yola?

Hello Chene,

I would be happy to help you through this.

1. The Silver will apply to all your sites in the account where you have purchased this package. So, if you already have 2 sites, then you will have an additional 23 sites you can create. You will still need to publish these sites to either a free subdomain, or purchase additional custom domains and publish to them. Or you can use the domain pointing feature if you wish to use a domain that you have bought elsewhere.

2. If you wish to continue using the domain registrar you current have, that is not a problem since Silver allows you to do this.

3. We apologize for the misunderstanding about the 24/7 phone call support. What it should have said is that as a Silver member, you are entitled to phone support which is available during weekdays from 8am-6pm EST. You also get email support within 24 hours. Yola Free users will get support within 48 hours. This could be why you have not yet heard from Support or the email could have arrived in your spam folder.
