why is it whenever i try and put anything on my site wider than the central area it will show up on my host computer but not any others once i publish it, I have seen other users synthasite site with much wider pages than mine but it just chops off anything outside of the red lines when I publish it, what can I do i dont want to be bound by a really narrow page ? thanks

Also I have put google adsense banners out side the red lines and they dont show on any other computer except the one i am building on

Hello,
Unfortunately the area of the website that is editable is set by the style. Some of the styles are quite narrow, while some are wider. The margins on the left and right of the main area of your site cannot be added to either.

You may want to take a look at the Clean Slate and Embouteillage styles, these are both quite wide. Take a look through the style library again, maybe something will work better for you.

Kind Regards,
Emmy

Always there to lend a hand thanks Emmy. Are we going to see the introduction of a wider catalogue of fonts at any point ? or uploadable fonts I cannot seem to find a font that looks professional enough in the limited choice available. Dont suppose you know what font is ? I like this one. thanks

If i change my template will i only loose the top banner or will all of my content go as well ? thanks

Well, rest assured the team here is always working on coming up with more and better features for users to choose from. I will surely pass along your request for more fonts to our teams for future consideration.

The font styles available currently are web safe fonts. If you are using a font that a persons browser isn't supporting than they won't be able to read your text. The fonts we have provided will make sure that doesn't happen.

Were you wondering what the font style was of the text here on Get Satisfaction? Or did you post something in some html code for me to look at?

Looking at the fonts you have to choose from right now in the Site Builder, this may be personal preference, but the Ariel seems to be the most professional followed by Times New Roman and Georgia. But that is my opinion.

You should always save before making a major change, but you can change templates/styles without losing information except if you have uploaded your own banner image with one of our styles.

If you change styles or color palettes you will need to re-insert the banner image. To do this simply click on the white instruction box, highlight the image in the file manager and click "OK", or upload a new image if you wish.

Of course, if you are not using a custom banner image then you have nothing to worry about and you can change styles freely without worrying about losing your work.

Hope this helps,

Emmy

Please send us a link to your site at support@synthasite and I will pass it along to our Marketing team to consider for a site of the month.
