Hello artfullygf,
Yes, you can use a domain you have purchased from Yola for a site built elsewhere. You can edit your DNS settings so that your domain points to your new provider. Depending on the host you're moving to, it would either be editing nameservers or creating an A Record. This means that you will still get a renewal reminder from us 11 months after purchase. If you choose this option, please view this tutorial: DNS for your domain purchased from Yola.

I hope this helps!

Emmy,

I have looked over the tutorial you have sent on DNS for your domain purchased from Yola. Unfortunately I am still lost. I don't know how to change my DNS settings for Blogger. Or do I need to set up namer servers?

I bet you can tell I am new at this. Thank you for being patient with me!

Hello ArtfullyGF,
I think the best thing to do would be to submit a support request to Blogger and ask for their instructions on how to use a custom domain you have already purchased for a site built with them. If this is possible, they will either have A Records or Name Servers for you. If you would like to let us know what their response is, we can then help further.
