Would anyone here know if it's possible to include a paypal single item widget within a pre-formed table?

Hi Peter

If your table is in an html widget, then this won't be possible. However, you can use the 2 column layout (which is essentially a table), to create a similar effect.

Thank you Christo,

The table code is in an HTML widget so that answers part of it.

The two column solution may work it's simply a matter of me working out how I want the compromise.

On a third solution I have tried the PayPal labs solution which is a free standing single item widget. This looks good except that the widget properties themselves are buggy at this stage. I'll try again tomorrow and see what the outcome is and probably make contact with PayPal labs.

Thanks for taking it onboard Christo.

Hi Boomer,

Thanks for your interest :)

The initial code I have placed here the rest really is just extra text and formatting. It's not complex coding. Just simply text and images within a bordered frame.
<!--<table border="5" bordercolor="#e3bb8e" style="background-image:url(http://krooclub.com/resources/backgro..." :="" width="980" cellpadding="55" cellspacing="2" align="center">
<tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"> blah, blah, balh
-->

Hi Peter,

Maybe I'm on the wrong wavelength, but is this
what you were trying to do ?? http://hindsite.synthasite.com/

The font is white because of the dark background.
I've reduced the width to 850px (950px is to wide)

Thanks Boomer,

You are a clever man :)

Within that structure, one cell only though, I wish to place a Paypal Widget (single item). That's where I come unstuck.

ref; http://krooclub.com/book

the workaround I'm doing is leaving it out and putting it below (as you will see) To accomodate this I've thrown two others below as well. My fisrt preference is to include it within the frame next to the relevant section.

Have another look Peter,

I've placed a weather feed script in the one cell.
The Paypal script.... is it JavaScript or an iframe ?

I'm grateful for the effort.

Boomer,

Sorry man but I've lost the plot on this. was going great guns and got it on a test page.

I really haven't been able to transfer it back to the primary page.

I'm not seeing where to cut the /workup and paste into the /book.

I've tried about 5 things and it just looks crazy and then I can't work out where it has got to on the page.

Should it have the following format?

Heading "BOOK"
Book description below with an image next to the text. (on RHS)
Price below the image.
Buy now button below the price.

Boomer,

Thanks for all of this. that's all correct. (I have to take out the white USD but easy one).

I published too soon as now I've got people wanting to buy. PayPal here would not be their first preference. Probably good at this time :(

I now have to move that into the PayPal space in http://krooclub.com/book. That's where it goes crazy. You can see the other one there.

BTW I placed the text on the RHS because
that way it has a straight margin (the pic) to butt up against.

Sorry boomer,

I've been engrossed with it. Thanks for work up.
I've learned heaps and forgotten most :)

OK. I would like the image to be 150 x300 pxl. It just won't open up presumably because of the constraints. The size mentioned allows the text on the cover of the book to be seen.

Thai characters tend to show up as single pixel wide whereas roman script shows up much wider. I need to have an open script for Thai (like verdana) which then allows for simple bolding to make it rounded and easily seen but for the roman script, Times (normal) tends to be the right width. The size is relative to the importance and the fit.
I'll just publish it then you should be able to see.

OK it's 150 x 300 px now. Streached but you get the idea.
Can't help with the Thai. Maybe later after a couple of drinks ;-)
Going out now. Good luck. Chat tomorrow.

It was a pair of quotation marks! &^%$#. Stupid! They had been there for quite a while and just stopped everything moving with the image and surrounding text. Another lesson learned. Count quotation marks!
I'll wrestlel with fonts tomorrow also Boomer.
