Hi vancel,

I am sorry but I am a little confused on what you want to do. I don't have a myspace and I don't click on links except to peoples sites. So what I can understand is that you want to have a picture that when people click on it, it adds them?

yea, if you don't have a myspace and don't add users on a regular basis, you wouldn't understand. He wants to insert the link to the "add member" page of users. But his question was more specifically how to have it open in a new window, which hopefully was answered for him in the yola customer support link marije provided below.

All he has to do is add target="blank" right after the link but in the same < >

I have 8,000 friends on one of my myspace pages, it makes advertising simple. I only advertise to those that advertise to me so it's not considered "spam" instead it's considered exchanging business information. If someone sends me a comment selling their music, I send one back with my website and I get the occasional traffic that way. I send about 100 ads a day to people on myspace (right now, that's how many ads I receive) and about 10 of those people view my site. a 10% rate is not bad at all. When I get more friends, I'll get more visitors to my site. It's free advertising and I personally think everyone on yola looking for more visitors should do it.

Hi Vancel,

The links on that particular page seem to be standard links to http://www.spuko.com/mafia for example.

For information on how to add links, click on this one: http://www.yola.com/customer-support/... and scroll down to "Links".

I hope that helps!

hey, I'm very custom to these myspace friend adding sites, I know of about 87 different ones so I know a little bit... however, with yola it'll have to be a manual thing instead of sites like spuko that users are added automatically.

Copy and paste the users picture or however you want to get them on your site.

Go to the users friend adding page (NOT THEIR MAIN PROFILE), copy the link, and insert it into the picture...

if you used the image widget to add the picture, click the properties tab and click insert link

if you used a text widget, click on the picture, then click the insert link button in the menu bar at the top of your site builder... like I said though, go to the users FRIEND ADDING PAGE and copy the link.

oh, I misread part of the question, to open in new window... http://sitebuilder.yola.com/sites/D7d...

that's how i did, first time I've ever tried it and it worked like a charm... the only problem, yola's got issues with their links right now... they probably don't know it, but can't seem to add a link to a picture via the link editor button (that is... in a text widget). I had to add the link manually.

the first one opens in a different window or tab (firefox opens in a different tab, internet explorer I think will in a different window - depending on your settings I believe).

Vancel,

By the way, like I said above, I know about 87 different friend adding sites for myspace, if you use these often and wish to know more of these sites, email me on at webmaster@youcanneverbetoosmart.info and I'll be glad to share them with you. I'll probably give you my referral codes so I get credit for you visiting the sites.

if you're talking about the ability for users to sign in, right now that's not possible with yola. to do this, you have to go to developer.myspace.com and request to become a developer, it takes them anywhere from 2 hours to 24 hours to approve you. After you're approved you click the link "create myspaceID app" and then you have to research how to do it specifically as this is as far as I know... the "myspaceID app is NOT a app on myspace, you use a website creator (like gator or something) then it allows you to do stuff like spuko... but generally you have to know the ropes before you can make it happen... I tried and couldn't figure it out... maybe you'll have better luck... ask the creators of these myspace friend adding sites for help getting started and when it's up you'll advertise their site.

If you're talking about the information I see - like how much someone earns in mobsters or stuff like that... with yola you'll have to enter this manually. With another site and working through myspace id it's all on how you build the site.

who knows, maybe working through myspace id, myspace is able to provide you with an html code for the "login" box and by logging in a user it automatically inserts a picture with a link into an html widget that has already a tracking link within... it's POSSIBLE with yola, but VERY VERY COMPLEX!

To do it with yola...

obtain an html from myspace or other source for the login box, the html will be linked to myspace's backdoor giving you access to certain information such as all their friend id's and stuff.

Post an html (where ever you get it is unknown to me) - post the html where ever you would like pictures to automatically pop up... whenever someone logs in or earns points they move up the later or get put on the list - this is how the html is set up. Generally... you need to know a lot of stuff about html and working with myspace. Although, because myspace doesn't in any way endorse or create these sites, I would have to imagine they aren't the ones to provide the htmls

The above statement is my best educated guess as how it's POSSIBLE to do it with yola but might not be the case!

I just emailed the girl (that's right... GIRL - which means she's young, maybe 18 or 19) that owns http://candyadds.com about how to create the sites they own. She replied to my message before, maybe she'll help with this. I wanted to create these kind of sites before also, so if I find the answer, I'll share with you and we both can have a site like that.
