Re-registering domain without hosting

I would like to re-register my domain, but don't need hosting. Do you offer this service and how much does it cost?

Hello Arlene

I wasn't able to find your Yola account in our system, using your Get Satisfaction e-mail. When did your domain expire? Can you please provide your domain name or your login e-mail (no passwords please)? Thanks.

I registered my domain with you on 9 June 2011 but is is now pointed to webs.com

The domain is james-morton.co.uk

Hello Arlene

It is possible to renew your domain without renewing your hosting subscription. This means that you still own your domain, but will not be able to publish your Yola site to it.

To do this, you first need to cancel your hosting subscription.
  1. Log in to My Yola.

  2. Click on "Account" on the left-hand side.

  3. Under "Account information", next to the auto-renewal information for your package, click "Cancel".

  4. Your account will be downgraded to a Yola Free account.

Once done, please contact our support via e-mail because we will need to set up the domain pointing for you: Contact Support.

I would like to transfer my domain to Webs, could I have an authorization code to transfer my domain. Will I still have cancel my hosting subscription?

if your hosting package subscription is on auto-renewal, you will need to cancel it.

For detailed steps on how to transfer your domain away from Yola please see this tutorial: Transfer domain to a new registrar.

Please first follow the steps provided in the tutorial. If you should experience any difficulty, please let us know at which stage this is, what you exactly did, and if you get an error message, for us to be able to assist you further best.

I went through the tutorial and had no problems with any step untill I clicked on 'Apply changes'. and received a message - ' there was an error: error, try again. Could you help me?

If you are still having trouble accessing your domain authorization code, please let me know. We can provide you with the code but we will want to do so via direct email and not on the forum.

In order to verify ownership of the domain we need you to contact us from the email address associated with the domain you wish to transfer.

Your email is a 'no-reply' so I don't know who to email. I need that code to transfer the domain? This is urgent.
