Hi Rein,

Can you tell me if the red lines are only visible in the sitebuilder where you edit your site, or if they show up on your published site as well?

If they do show up on your published site, can you share the URL or address with us so that we can take a look please?

Ruth I have this problem, also I cant edit pics if I use the "insert photo" button, no problems if I use the photo widget. Here is a link of a page with pic that has the red dots, also I'm giving you this page because I've had people tell me they cant see the pic but, I see it clearly. Also other pics I see others are saying they get an X

I'm getting alot of that and I've given up using the "insert photo" option as it wont allow me to edit photo or even delete photo. Many people are saying they cant see pics but, when I log on as guest I see everything fine.

Hi Rizan,

This is a bug we're trying to figure out as it seems to happen intermittently with no apparent pattern. It would be wonderful if you could help us with some information:-

1. Are all the images in a specific format (eg. .jpg, .png), or does it happen to any format image?
2. Do you edit any of the images before uploading them to Yola? If so, where do you edit them and what kind of changes do you make?
3. Do you edit the images on Yola at all?
4. Are there any particular steps you take when adding the text and images that will help us to replicate the bug?
5. Did you copy and paste any of the text from another source?

You can remove the red line by editing the HTML in the text widget.

I'm also concerned by your second comment "I've given up using the "insert photo" option as it wont allow me to edit photo or even delete photo".
- you'll need to access the pic in the File Manager if you want to edit it
- to delete the pic, click on it and hit the delete button
If those are the steps you're taking and it's not working, please let me know.

Marije,
1. images are in jpg, I believe all my photos are jpg.
2.Yes, I often do edit the pics in adobe photoshop, usually the changes are autofix
3.in yola (picknic) I do make size changes only
4.Usually I type in my text then add the image, nothing fancy at all, I'm far too much a novice to try out tricky things.
5. Yes I have copied and pasted from a google site. But, I didnt have this problem with all. As a matter of fact that page I refrenced I deleted the page 3 times and recreated it using only the pasted text and reloaded the pic from my computer.

Finally, when I click on the pic no window opens, I am given no options to work iwth the pic at all. So I actually have to delete the entire page and recreate it. Thanks.

Thank you for the detail, I have more questions :)

1. When you edit the pictures in Photoshop, does it change any of the settings? ie. any color modes or anything like that?
2. When you click on the pic and no window opens - where are you in the Site Builder? Are you trying to edit the picture when you've already added it to a text widget? If I could get more detailed steps on that problem, I would be grateful.

1. no real changes other than the autofix and I dont notice any settings changes. It does of course save pic as " IMG_0071_edited" I did double check all is jpg format.

2. Yes, I will have added the text widget, completed my text then I chose insert picture. Once the pic is inserted I can edit text but, have zero control over the pic, correction, I can only move it. Can not edit in picknic (for size) and cannot delete. Must delete entire page.
Thanks marije.

This may have to do with the template itself.

Rizan.. can I ask you to try this: If you added your image through the text widget, click on the html editor. Find where your image is - it should say something like: img scr="blah"

Change that img scr to this code:

<!--<img style="border:0px;" scr="YOUR IMAGE URL">-->

See if that gets rid of the red line that you see. Be sure to take out the <!-- and -->

Thank you for all the info - I'm going to try and work out where the bug comes in.

When you click on the text and then on the HTML button so that the HTML editor opens, you will see this included in the content:
<!--
POPEYE WOULD BE PROUD!</font><img id="I305_img" style="border: 1px dashed red; float: right; width: 394px; height: 240px;" src="resources/IMG_0069_edited.jpg?sys_ts=1241061071796">
-->

You can change
border: 1px dashed red
to
border: 0px dashed red

And the dashes should disappear (thanks Littleus!)
