I've build my girlfriend mimisieraden.nl with yola. Im very pleased with the service.
My mother in law also has a site named galeriefragile.nl and i rebuild it as seen on galeriefragile.yolasite.com as a subdomain of mimisieraden profile. Im not sure if i can/ how to redirect galeriefragile.yolasite.com to galeriefragile.com.

Any ideas or do i have to open a new account and rebuild galeriefragiel.yolasite.com in order to make it redirect to galeriefragile.com?

(not even sure if redirect is the right word here)

Keep u the good work, yelke

Hi gmeelaanyelke,

Thanks for your question! It is certainly possible to point an externally purchased domain to Yola, allowing your site to be published to it. This feature is available to our Yola Silver customers. You can read more about it here: Publish to a domain you already own.

If you are not already a Yola Silver customer, I do encourage you to take a peek at the great features that are included with Yola Silver. You can read about Yola Silver here.

Please let us know if you have any further questions or need additional clarification. We will be happy to help!

hmmmm.. let me refrase it a bit.

I cant find the same option i had while puplishing mimisieraden.yolasite.com to mimisieraden.nl
i think it might have something to do with me building the galeriefragiel.yolasite.com as a sub domain in the mimisieraden.nl (yola) profile?

hope this helps a bit to answer my question. thnx yelke

Hi gmeelaanyelke,

I do believe that I am understanding your request. The reason you are not able to see an option to add your own domain when you publish your site is that this feature is no longer available on free accounts. See this blogpost for details: http://www.yola.com/blog/changes-to-free-domain-pointing-feature/.

What this means is:

1) If you currently have a domain pointed to Yola, that domain will remain pointed free of charge indefinitely provided you do not unpublish your site.
2) If you need to point any new domains to your sites, you will need to upgrade your account to Yola Silver.

I hope this helps to clear up the confusion. If you are interested in upgrading to Yola Silver, please shoot us an email at support@yola.com. We will be happy to provide you with a discount!

You are very welcome for the quick support, we always stay within a 48 hour response time for our customers using the Free Yola (24 hour response time for Yola Silver) and nearly 100% of the time exceed that by nice amount!

In regards to your question, Yola Silver will be applied to the entire Yola account from where you make the purchase. You will be able to use the features such as Unlimited Premium Styles on all of the sites in your account! As for your domain, you will be able to point it to Yola. You do this by changing the A Records on your domain to point to Yola's IP address (184.72.229.176) Since you have a .nl domain, you will not have the opportunity to transfer your domain to Yola, however, domain pointing will work just fine for you!

Somehow I get the impression that you don't want to hide the great work that you did redesigning your Mother-in-law's website by a redirect as all visitors that visit your Mother-in-law's site will automatically be set to your girlfriend's site. This will defeat the purpose of your redesign of you Mother-in-law's website as no one will be able to see it.

I think that what would be best for your situation is to create a new (blank) page in your Mother-in-law's website's menu called whatever you like and use the following code in an HTML widget to redirect only that page to your girlfriend's website.

<!--

<meta http-equiv="Refresh" content="0; url=http://mimisieraden.nl/">

-->

Cation: Bear in mind that redirect codes really mess up the page that they are placed upon and make them uneditable so that is why I say to create a new page with no content on it other than the redirect code above. Never use this code on a content rich page such as your index.

After a second those who click on that new page in your Mother-in-law's menu will be sent to your girlfriend's site right away.

This way both sites are visible to those who want to see them.

Happy site building
Ed
